This still doesn't compare to the singing country church folks for Palin video. But still, it is a sight to behold. I posted the video at my blog and we can only pray that the talents of these artists are duly rewarded and that their creation goes viral.
good catch on the missing "n" from "run." I am still baffled by the shot of the fire station at the end. These people must be hard core public servants. Flags waving, fireman, and Mike Huckabee.
Do y'all ever get tired of the snark? I know you do because I have read in the cbox people stating that they are leaving for a while because this website is too snarky.
So a grassroots Huckabee supporter creates a video and y'all make fun of it? Really? That's what you do with your spare time?
As to the firestation reference in the song, Mike Huckabee's father was a fireman. Huckabee has talked before about the 2-3 jobs his father had to hold in order to make a living for the family. That is a role model-one who sacrificed for his family so that the family would not need any government support.
I actually posted this video on my website. Why? Not for the reasons that Pablo was making fun of. But because it shows how Huckabee supporters really feel inspired to dive into politics for the first time, to tell their friends about a candidate, and to devote unlimited unpaid hours to that candidate.
Caucuses and primaries are won by supporters such as the guy who made this video.
I saw this video last night (before it was posted here) and it made me laugh. Why? Because you can smell the desperation from the Huckalovers for their guy to run.
I have it on good authority that Pablo's favorite date night activity is to sneak into old folk homes and steal their walkers. On Halloween he poses as a teenager so that he can steal candy from the little kids. And at Christmas he frequents the malls where he pulls the bears off of the Santas.
Texas, I think the reason it's so tempting to laugh at this is because of the vibe we get from some Huck supporters--their support seems to be based on some sort of spiritual/religious belief that he is 'the one'.

The man is so darn sincere.

The only running Huckabee will be doing is on a treadmill.
Oh my! Quite the song.
Must be going for the wholesome Heartland of America or flyover states vote.
Who needs THAT! We'll win both coasts!
"Who needs THAT! We'll win both coasts!" That really worked for Mr. Gore did not it?

TC,
I agree with you on this one. Pablo's remark makes me wonder if he looks down on fireman and public servants. The song isn't that good, but who cares?

Dan, you got me! Lol.
First, let's all learn to take a joke. The video was funny.
Second, having grown up in the South, I enjoy a good "Southernism" every now and then. And this video was a tasty slice.
Just maybe, it has inspired me to pull my guitar out and write one for Romney. But probably not.
And trust me, I am going to hear it from my very Southern father about why I was poking fun. It is going to be good music to his ears.

He played into that big time in 08.

That's Obama, Palin and Paul supporters who go for "The One" crap.
Not Huckabee or Romney supporters EVER!!!
We don't need the southern or midwestern hicks vote.
We can win with just the Ivy League and intellectual vote.
Martha knows.
