Wisconsin's Governor Scott Walker Takes on the Unions:

H/T Granny T

Move over Chris Christie!
Wisconsin is poised to strip collective bargaining rights from most of the state’s 175,000 public employees in the boldest step by a new Republican governor and Legislature to solve budget problems by confronting organized labor.
The state Senate and Assembly are expected to vote as soon as Thursday on Gov. Scott Walker’s plan to end collective bargaining for all state, county and local workers except for police, firefighters and the state patrol.
Full Story HERE.

Madison schools were closed Wednesday as teachers planned a district-wide absence to attend protests against Gov. Scott Walker's proposal to limit union bargaining.
District Superintendent Dan Nerad made the announcement at 11 p.m. Tuesday after 40 percent of the 2,600 members of the teachers union had called in sick and more were expected to do so.
Full Story is HERE.

Thousands Rally in Protest of Collective Bargaining Changes:

Many of the hundreds of Madison East High School students didn't know why their teachers brought them to the union protests at the Wisconsin Capitol Tuesday (during school time). But they knew they were just happy to be out of class: (my emphasis)

And what about the HATRED they are spewing towards Governor Walker:

Don't you just love public employee unions?

I agree that these unions have to much power.

I wish Governor Walker good luck in trying to fix things in his state.

This is just the tip of the public unions iceberg.

Most states will find themselves in the same boat. It's not going to go away so the earlier states tackle this issue, the quicker state economies will improve.

I agree. Fire the whole damn lot.

Great lesson for the kids, If you don't get what you want, walk off the job. Grat socialistic values!

It is a shame the strangle hold these unions have on the majority of states. Like Medicare, Medicaid on the national level, this issue needs to be dealt with now by states.

There is NO MONEY to bail them out, if they don't!

These Governors have their jobs cut out for them. These public unions will stop at nothing to get their way,

I find it hypocritical that the media is not calling out the unions for their hatred towards Governor Walker.

These people's goal in life is to screw the taxpayer. I say if they don't want to work under Walker's terms, fire the whole damn lot!

Bosman,
Thank you for writing about this subject. You did a better job than I could have.

Union supporters are now trying to get Gov. Walker to resign. :( One of my Facebook friends asked me to join their cause. I wrote on her wall that I can't because I support Scott Walker. She's been ranting ever since.
