Bob Vander Plaats suggests that Huckabee 'will sit this one out'

Huckabee ally Bob Vander Plaats, was profiled by The Wall Street Journal recently. The author suggests that the road to victory in Iowa goes through Vander Plaats. While I'm not entirely on-board with that assertion, I found the following quote very enlightening. Add this to the pile of evidence already uncovered to date. Mike Huckabee is not running in 2012.
"I have told many of these candidates that they may make Huckabee's decision for him," Mr. Vander Plaats said. "If a Pawlenty or Thune or Bachman catch fire among the base, I could see Huckabee saying, 'I think I will sit this one out.'"

I think Vander Plaats is a legend in his own mind.

The title doesn't match the quote.

""I have told many of these candidates that they may make Huckabee's decision for him," Mr. Vander Plaats said. "If a Pawlenty or Thune or Bachman catch fire among the base, I could see Huckabee saying, 'I think I will sit this one out.'"

First, there is no evidence any of the three candidates mentioned by BVP will catch fire.

Second, the quote was "I could see him saying" which isn't the same thing as an assertion.

Third, there is no indication that this Huckabee's position.

This is pure soothsaying by Right Wingnut.

I agree with David. You're title is very misleading.

Besides, At the event, held at the Knoxville Convention Center, the former Arkansas governor confirmed he is “seriously looking at” running for president again in 2012 and may do if only to “elevate the issue of life.”

It's looking good for us Huckabee supporters. :)

Granny, If he is seriously considering a run, he should tell Vander Plaats.
