Hawaii Senate votes to end daily prayers before sessions

Fearing a possible court challenge, Hawaii's state Senate has voted to silence the daily prayer offered before each session began—making it the first state legislative body in the nation to halt the practice.

'Fearing a possible challenge' they give up? Wow. Now that’s cowardice. I’m glad they’re not representing me. Hope Hawaiians can elect better people next election.

It is really a shame that we've come to a point in society where publicly demonstrating a belief in God could be deemed offensive by some.

Unfortunately, this is the direction society is heading.

They'll show kiddy porn on MTV, yet prayers at a puplic assembly is a problem.
