Democrats use Arizona tragedy to try and score points on Obamacare

Here is Democratic Congresswoman Wasserman Schultz joined by other Democratic members of Congress in a press conference:

Wasserman used in her statement, the possibility of losing the 'pre-existing condition' law if ObamaCare is repealed.

Look what I found. It seems that Health and Human Services (HHS) JUST released a report yesterday titled, "At Risk: Pre-Existing Conditions Could Affect 1 in 2 Americans: 129 Million People Could Be Denied Affordable Coverage Without Health Reform." Which makes me wonder if this press conference was a coordinated effort. NAH! The Democrats would never think of using the Tragedies in Arizona to push their agenda. RIGHT?

Any way, according to the Heritage Foundation, the report just released is misleading and inaccurate.
.......The truth is that if Obamacare were repealed, very few Americans would be at risk of being denied health insurance because of a preexisting medical condition for the same reason that very few individuals face such a risk today. The reason is that laws enacted years ago already protect those individuals, and those laws would still exist if Obamacare were repealed.
Today, over 90 percent of Americans with private health insurance are covered by employer group plans where existing rules governing the application of preexisting condition exclusions are not an issue......

Thanks for putting the pieces together Bos.

It is no surprise though that the Democrats would do this.
