PPP Polls: Democrats want Sarah Palin

According to the latest PPP poll data in Ohio and Wisconsin, Sarah Palin is the favorite among Democrats to win the Republican nomination for President.

Hmmm, I wonder why? PPP refers to this in their release as, Operation Chaos 2012?
This is actually more than a hypothetical exercise- it suggests the possibility that in states with open primaries Democrats might go vote for Palin in hopes that Republicans get their weakest candidate. The party may have an 'Operation Chaos' of its own in 2012.
Democrats prefer the following Republican:

PPP surveyed 300 usual Democratic primary voters in each Ohio and Wisconsin from December 10th to 12th. The margin of error for each survey is +/- 5.7%. Other factors, such as refusal to be interviewed and weighting, may introduce additional error that is more difficult to quantify.

I can't wait to hear the Palin supporters rationalize this as, "See, Sarah can attract more than her base" or "It's clear that Sarah can win over Democrats".

This really doesn't surprise me. We've been seeing this in other polls with token amounts of Democrats. These numbers however are a lot more than token.

i'm looking forward to giving Alan Grayson's name as my favorite democrat for 2012.

The Dems wanted Reagan in 1980 too. The B actor without a good education. Too extreme. Easy to beat.

Be careful what you wish for.

A lot of her supporters are former Hillary backers. C4P has dozens of them as members. Go check out http://hillbuzz.org/. Palin aide, and C4P founder, Rebecca Monsour campaigned for Barack Obama until palin came on the scene.

In addition, if Dems really, really wanted Palin to be the nominee, why would a Dem pollster like PPP try to discredit her general election chances? You would think they'd shut up about it and try to convince everyone that she's the strongest candidate. PPP and the rest of the left knows full well that a Palin presidency would be the end of liberalism as we know it. She is the one they fear.

HaHaHaHa!

I wouldn't brag about that if I were you.

Maybe I'm missing something. What do Hillary and Sarah have in common? I'm not talking both females, I'm talking SIMILAR VIEWS?

Bos, It really doesn't matter, as long as they pull the lever for Palin.

The fact that Huckabee comes in second makes the theory all the more likely.

Palin has proven time and time again, she is not fit for prime time. Her little show is a joke, her newest screed is flop - just in time for Christmas, and all she does is 'me too' at whatever Romney says.

Some of you are completely missing what is going on in he PPP polls. It's not that she is doing good with the Democrats. She is not doing well at all with them. It's just that the want her to get the GOP nomination because polls are showing she gets creamed in the general election. So, just know this, they will do ANYThing to cause her get the nomination so they can usher in he next four years Obamanism~

Yeah, don't you just love whomever is writing her recent opeds? They may as well just be saying, "I agree with Mitt...go read his!"

"Yeah, don't you just love whomever is writing her recent opeds? They may as well just be saying, "I agree with Mitt...go read his!" " Actually, it is the other way around. It is amazing what an election will do. All of a sudden, Mr. Romney is moving to the Right. Welcome aboard!

So IG, we're supposed to allow 300 democrats to choose our nominee...is this where we're at? Don't you ever get tired of repeating that Sarah Palin is not writing her own op-eds? They're obviously written by her if your're paying any attention. It doesn't really matter, she'll never get your approval...you'd just assume repeat liberal, talking points about her rather than give her the credit of doing her homework...which she obviously has been doing. If she decides to run for President, then let the campaign and the debates and a contested primary decide who we will run against Obama...Mr. Governor Wall Street or Madame Governor Next Door.

I have no idea why you said that.

"Don't you ever get tired of repeating that Sarah Palin is not writing her own op-eds?"

I didn't say she was or wasn't. I just said 'whomever it is' mimics Romney's, and OJ, NO, not even close, Mitt has been out in front on nearly all issues.

"If she decides to run for President, then let the campaign and the debates and a contested primary decide who we will run against Obama"

That's what I plan to do, but we should not do so without knowing that the liberals are praying that Sarah becomes our nominee.

As far as Mitt lieing a little low right now, my personal feeling is that after working his butt off for 3 straight years for the benefit of conservatives and Republicans, he has committed to himself and to his family some time for them to be a family again for a while.....catching his breath so to speak.

IG, just because Romney had a detailed account as to why he didn't like START before Palin wrote an op-ed about it doesn't put him in the forefront on all of the issues. Frankly, I don't really care who said what first...what matters is who frames the discussion and that my friend...is Palin. But Gin...who really cares, they're both on the same team...our team.

That that you forget IG is that START does not mean much if we are bankrupt due to tax policies or healthcare policies. Mrs. Palin leads on both those issues.

What is Palin's Health Care plan? I'm curious.

I'm also curious as to how she would tackle the budget and entitlements. Is anyone else?

Any Palin supporters out there shed any light on what her policies would be, not just what she is against.

On the other hand, economic policy will hold little meaning if we are nuked out of existence.
