Fox Responds To Allegations Of Campaign Finance Law Violations

The HuffPo had an interesting article today about Fox News being accused of giving financial and other support to John Kasich in his successful bid for Governor of Ohio.

It seems that in early August, Fox was accused of illegally helping to raise money on behalf of incoming Ohio Governor John Kasich (R-Ohio) by running a chyron featuring his website at the same time that he was soliciting donations during an interview on Bill O'Reilly's show.

The following are documents related to the allegations:

the complete story is HERE.

Kasich, who I like and supported in his campaign for Governor myself, used to be a Fox contributor. He would be seen on many occasions on Fox hosting the Heartland series, filling in for the likes of Bill O'Reilly and Sean Hannity, and offering political commentary before his run for Governor. So I'm sure there was at least some fondness for Kasich on Fox News part.

I know it's hard to imagine Fox News having a horse (or 2, 3, 4, 5) in a political race. I have no idea if the allegations are true. One thing I do know is, that as long as Fox News gives what seems to many as UNLIMITED access to their airways to potential 2012 candidates for President who are on their payroll, they can't blame people for wondering.

No! Not Fox News. Who would have ever believed this?

My first reaction is that they're guilty. It fits their M.O.

My second reaction is THE SAME.
