Zogby Interactive Poll: Christie and Romney ahead in 2012 preference

Zogby Interactive released a recent 2012er poll that had some interesting results:

Of the following, which Republican would you vote for in 2012 for President if they are on the ballot?

The interactive poll of 2,185 likely voters was conducted from Nov. 3-Nov. 5, 2010, and has a margin of error of +/-2.2%. A sampling of Zogby International's online panel, which is representative of the adult population of the U.S., was invited to participate. Slight weights were added to region, party, age, race, religion, gender, and education to more accurately reflect the population
.

There were no cross tabs available. More information about poll can be found HERE.

Take it for what it's worth.

You can say that again. Only 29% of all voters will vote for the Dem? I realize Obama is in the tank, but if I were John Zogby, I'd be too embarrased to publish this.

As far as polls go, if Palin is not winning, I don’t like them at all. So I guess I never liked too many polls, but I think things will pick up when campaigning starts and all candidates are subject to at least a portion of the attacks Palin bears daily.

Sometimes there is just too much nonsense. Zogby really seems to have lost a lot of cred over the past 8-10 years.

One thing I think we can learn from this poll is that people are wanting a solutions guy for POTUS.

I can't falt the concept of the Zogy interactive polling idea.

Unlike the normal internet polls that usually get highjacked by one of the armies who a candidate that happens to find it first, this is different.

Theyve developed a way that you can't vote more than once, etc.

So Romney is tied with Christie (all voters 11%)the only thing that this tells me, is that Christie has been in the news a lot lately. No surprizes on the Palin front.

I like Christie, but he's got to get a full term as Gov of NJ under his belt before thinking about anything else.

Christie is not running. He's just flavor of the month.
