The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this on Facebook , publishing operational information as of 10:00 p.m. on September 5, Ukrinform reports.
"In total, 209 combat clashes have taken place since the beginning of this day. The aggressor carried out 55 air strikes using 187 guided bombs, used 5,403 kamikaze drones for strikes, and carried out 1,702 shelling of the positions of our troops and settlements," the report says.
In the North-Slobozhansk and Kursk directions, since the beginning of the day, the enemy has carried out one airstrike using three anti-aircraft guided missiles, conducted five assault operations, and carried out 18 shellings of the positions of our troops and settlements, one of which was using MLRS.
In the South Slobozhansky direction, the enemy attacked the positions of our units nine times in the direction of the settlements of Kozacha Lopan, Prylipka, Lyman, Izbitske, Zakharivka, Kupine, Mala Vovcha, Vodiane and Khatne. Two assault operations are still ongoing.
In the Kupyansk direction, the enemy tried to improve its positions six times by carrying out assault operations in the direction of Radkivka, Kupyansk-Vuzlovye, Kivsharivka, and Borivska Andriivka. One attack is still ongoing.
Seven attempts by the invaders to advance were repelled in the Lyman direction in the areas of the settlements of Novoselivka and Lyman. The battle continues.
In the Slavyansk direction, the Defense Forces stopped the invaders' attempt to advance in the area of the Ozerne settlement.
In the Kramatorsk direction, the Russian invaders stormed towards Yurkivka.
In the Kostyantynivka direction, the Defense Forces repelled 14 enemy assaults in the area of the Kostyantynivka settlement and towards Kindrativka, Pavlivka, Toretsko, Sofiivka, and Novoselivka. One attack is ongoing.
