There were 216 combat clashes at the front, a fifth of them in the Pokrovsky and Konstantinovsky directions.
This was reported by Ukrinform with reference to operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 22:00 on 05.08.2026 on Facebook .
"In total, 216 combat clashes have taken place since the beginning of this day. The aggressor launched one missile strike, used 28 missiles, carried out 52 air strikes using 199 guided bombs, used 6,631 kamikaze drones for strikes, and carried out 2,324 shelling of the positions of our troops and settlements," the military noted.
According to the General Staff, six clashes have taken place in the North Slobozhansk and Kursk directions since the beginning of the day, two of which are still ongoing, and the enemy has carried out 58 attacks on the positions of our troops and settlements.
During the day, in the South Slobozhansk direction, the enemy stormed the positions of our units eight times in the areas of the settlements of Starytsia, Vovchansk and towards the settlement of Khatne. One clash is still ongoing.
In the Kupyansk direction, nine enemy offensive actions took place towards the settlements of Kupyansk, Kindrashivka, Novoosinove, and Shykivka. One clash is ongoing.
Six attempts by the invaders to advance were repelled in the Lyman direction towards the settlements of Novoselivka, Lyman, and Dibrova.
In the Slavyansk direction, the Defense Forces successfully stopped 14 attempts by the invaders to advance in the areas of the settlements of Zakitne, Kryva Luka, Riznykivka and towards Pyskunivka and Rai-Oleksandrivka.
In the Kramatorsk direction, Russian invaders carried out two attacks in the area of Nykyforivka and towards Yurkivka.
In the Kostyantynivka direction, the Defense Forces repelled 22 enemy assaults in the areas of the settlements of Kostyantynivka, Ivanopillya, Illinivka, Stepanivka, Toretske, Sofiivka and towards Novopavlivka and Novy Shakhovye. Three clashes are still ongoing.
