In the North Slobozhanskyi and Kursk directions , three combat engagements have taken place since the beginning of the day; the enemy carried out one airstrike, dropped one aerial bomb, and shelled the positions of our troops and populated areas 77 times.

During the day, in the South Slobozhanskyi direction , the enemy stormed the positions of our units four times toward Okhrimivka. One combat engagement is still ongoing.

In the Kupiansk direction , the enemy carried out 11 assault actions toward Radkivka and Kupiansk.

The invaders’ twelve attempts to advance were repelled in the Lyman direction toward the populated areas of Stepove, Chervonyi Stav, Druzheliubivka, Novyi Myr, Drobysheve, Lyman, and Novoselivka. Four attacks are still ongoing.

In the Sloviansk direction , the Defense Forces halted four attempts by the invaders to advance near the populated areas of Ozerne, Kryva Luka, and Zakitne. One combat engagement is ongoing.

In the Kramatorsk direction , the Russian invaders carried out one offensive action toward Yurkivka.

In the Kostiantynivka direction , the Defense Forces repelled 22 enemy assaults near the populated areas of Kostiantynivka, Illinivka, Toretske, and Sofiivka, and toward the populated areas of Stepanivka, Pavlivka, and Vilne.

The enemy carried out fourteen attacks in the Pokrovsk direction. The occupiers attempted to advance toward the populated areas of Bilytske, Novyi Donbas, Svitle, Serhiivka, and Novopavlivka, and near the populated areas of Dorozhnie and Udachne. War update: 196 clashes on front line, Kostiantynivka sector remains hottest:

There were 196 combat clashes along the front line, with Ukrainian forces repelling 22 Russian attacks in the Kostiantynivka sector.

According to Ukrinform, the information was provided by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 22:00 on August 23.

“A total of 196 combat clashes have taken place since the beginning of the day. The aggressor launched 62 airstrikes using 194 guided aerial bombs, deployed 7,032 kamikaze drones for attacks, and carried out 2,338 strikes on the positions of our troops and populated areas,” the General Staff said.

According to the General Staff, three combat clashes were reported in the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk sectors since the beginning of the day. The enemy carried out one airstrike, dropped one aerial bomb, and launched 77 shelling attacks on Ukrainian troop positions and populated areas.

During the day, Russian forces made four attempts to storm Ukrainian positions in the direction of Okhrimivka in the Southern Slobozhanshchyna sector. One clash is still ongoing.

In the Kupiansk sector, Russian forces launched 11 assault operations toward Radkivka and Kupiansk.

Ukrainian forces repelled 12 attempts by Russian troops to advance in the Lyman sector, toward Stepove, Chervonyi Stav, Druzheliubivka, Novyi Myr, Drobysheve, Lyman and Novoselivka. Four attacks are still ongoing.
