Since the beginning of the day on August 18, 192 combat clashes have occurred at the front. Russian troops carried out 64 airstrikes, using 213 guided aerial bombs, and also used 7033 kamikaze drones for attacks.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported in the operational summary as of 22:00.
In addition, Russian troops carried out 2263 shellings of positions of Ukrainian units and settlements.
On which directions fighting continued
On the Northern Slobozhansky and Kursk directions, eight combat clashes have occurred since the beginning of the day. Russian troops carried out 47 shellings, two of which with the use of multiple rocket launchers.
On the Southern Slobozhansky direction, the enemy three times stormed the positions of Ukrainian units in the direction of Izbitske and Dovzhanka. As of 22:00, one battle was ongoing.
On the Kupyansk direction, Russian troops conducted one attack in the direction of Novoosinove. On the Lyman direction, the Defense Forces repelled two attempts by the enemy to advance in the direction of Lyman.
Russian units were significantly more active on the Slavyansk direction. There, Ukrainian soldiers stopped ten attempts by the enemy to advance in the areas of Reznikivka, Kryva Luka, Zakotne, as well as in the direction of Rai-Oleksandrivka and Mykolaivka. One battle was ongoing.
On the Kramatorsk direction, Russian troops made one assault attempt in the direction of Izhevka.
On the Pokrovsk direction, 16 attacks occurred
On the Konstantynivka direction, the Defense Forces repelled 12 Russian assaults. Combat actions took place in the areas of Konstantynivka, Novoselivka and Sofiyivka, as well as in the direction of Dolha Balka and Stepanivka. As of evening, one battle was still ongoing.
On the Pokrovsk direction, Russian troops conducted 16 attacks over the day. The enemy tried to advance in the areas of Udačne and Novooleksandrivka, as well as in the direction of Bilytske, Novyi Donbas, Shevchenko, Serhiivka, Vasylivka and Myrne. Four combat clashes were continuing at the time of publication of the summary.
According to preliminary calculations of the General Staff, on the Pokrovsk direction during the day 38 Russian military personnel were eliminated, another 20 were wounded.
Ukrainian forces also destroyed six units of automotive equipment, three artillery systems, a fuel and lubricants warehouse, and 29 shelters of the Russian military.
In addition, four cars, one artillery piece, two units of special equipment, five drone control points, and 111 personnel shelters were damaged. The Defense Forces destroyed or suppressed 336 Russian drones of various types.

“Since the beginning of the day, a total of 192 combat clashes have taken place. The aggressor launched 64 airstrikes using 213 guided aerial bombs, deployed 7,033 kamikaze drones for attacks, and carried out 2,263 strikes on the positions of our troops and populated areas,” the military reported.
According to the General Staff, eight combat clashes have taken place since the beginning of the day in the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk sectors. The enemy carried out 47 strikes on the positions of Ukrainian troops and populated areas, two of them using multiple-launch rocket systems.
In the Southern Slobozhanshchyna sector, the enemy launched three assaults toward the settlements of Izbytske and Dovzhanka. One of these attacks is still ongoing.
In the Kupiansk sector, the enemy launched one attack toward Novoosynove.
Two attempts by Russian forces to advance toward Lyman were repelled in the Lyman sector.
In the Sloviansk sector, Ukraine’s Defense Forces stopped 10 enemy attempts to advance near the settlements of Riznykivka, Kryva Luka and Zakitne, as well as toward Rai-Oleksandrivka and Mykolaivka. One combat engagement is still ongoing.
In the Kramatorsk sector, Russian forces launched one assault toward Izhevske.
In the Kostiantynivka sector, Ukraine’s Defense Forces repelled 12 enemy assaults near Kostiantynivka, Novoselivka and Sofiivka, as well as toward Dolha Balka and Stepanivka. One combat engagement is still ongoing.
The enemy launched 16 attacks in the Pokrovsk sector.
