Moroccan Mayhem: A World Cup Result Causes Riots Across Europe; Fans Riot in London with Police Officer Knocked Unconscious After France Beat Morocco in World Cup: Police Make Arrests as Chaos Erupts on Edgware Road

Moroccan Mayhem
A World Cup result causes riots across Europe.
Before the World Cup game between France and Morocco on July 9, there were jokes going around that no matter which side won, there would be riots in Paris – because there are roughly half as many Moroccans in the French capital as in the Moroccan capital, Rabat. The predictions were actually short of the mark. In the end, France won, and not only did the City of Lights turn into a war zone – with Moroccan migrants, as Rod Dreher put it, “physically attacking native French they wish to punish for being fans of the French national football team” – cities all across Europe, from Dusseldorf to Antwerp, were also devastated.
To quote GB News: in Amsterdam, “riot police were pelted with heavy fireworks, glass, and chairs”; In The Hague, “Moroccan fans were seen chanting ‘all Jews are f**s’ while more supporters hurled glass at police from balconies”; in Brussels, “huge crowds of Morocco supporters lit fireworks, lit flares and chanted ‘free Palestine’ in a main square in the heart of the city”; and in Rotterdam, “hundreds of fans had marched through the streets and pelted police with eggs.”
But the metropolis that fared the worst, apparently, was London. The rioting centered on the Edgware Road, and the response of the police, sadly, was all too predictable. While the British cops are fearless when arresting Tommy Robinson for reporting real news from outside a courtroom, or taking a random householder into custody for posting an objective fact about Islam online, or manhandling an innocent teenager, Henry Nowak, who’s committed the crime of being beaten up by members of a protected class, in this case London’s finest fled the scene.
Why go berserk in the streets of England over a soccer match between France and Morocco? Why not? It was twenty years ago that Muslims around the world exploded in public rage over a two-page spread of cartoons that had been published in a Danish newspaper that virtually none of them had ever heard of. Such demonstrations are never about what they’re supposedly about. In the case of the Moroccan loss to France, the anger wasn’t about sports: it was about power.
It was about the fact that the population of Muslims in certain parts of Europe has reached a point at which any pretense of deference or acculturation has been cast aside and the determination to show who’s boss – or who’s on their way, at least, to becoming boss – is on the ascent. If the rioting was more devastating in London than in Paris, it’s because in no other country have law-enforcement authorities been so consistently prepared to back off from conflict with Muslims than in Britain.
For people who might be described as overcivilized – which is certainly the case with many of those in positions of authority in England – stepping back from discharges of extreme emotion and allowing them to peter out is a sensible move, a way to avoid unnecessary physical harm in the midst of an irrational moment. But to people from more uncivilized cultures, the retreat of police is nothing but a sign of cowardice, an indication of a lack of manliness, a proof of unwillingness to defend one’s own people and property, and – hence – an invitation to push even further.
So it was that Moroccans in London pulled out all the stops. They launched fireworks and threw glass bottles, “missiles” (whatever that might mean), and other objects at the police officers, knocking one of them unconscious. A police spokesperson said: “We will not tolerate such disorder on our streets, or attacks on our officers….we will be reviewing CCTV and video footage circulating on social media to ensure all those responsible are brought to justice.” Somehow I doubt it. There were a hell of a lot of people who were responsible for the unrest. Will all of them actually be hunted down and arrested? --->READ MORE HERE
