The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine published operational information as of 10:00 p.m. on July 17 regarding the Russian invasion.
In total, 229 combat clashes have taken place since the beginning of this day. The enemy carried out 68 air strikes, dropped 175 guided bombs. In addition, it engaged 6,231 kamikaze drones for destruction and carried out 2,225 shelling of settlements and positions of our troops.
In the North-Slobozhansk and Kursk directions, the Defense Forces successfully repelled two enemy attacks. The invaders also carried out 42 attacks on the positions of our troops and settlements, including one from multiple launch rocket systems.
During the day, in the South Slobozan direction, the enemy stormed the positions of our units 14 times near Vilcha, Kozacha Lopan, Lyman, Izbitskyi, and Synelnykovye. Two clashes are still ongoing.
In the Kupyansk direction today, the enemy carried out one assault on the positions of the Defense Forces in the direction of the settlement of Shyykivka.
Sixteen attempts by the invaders to advance were repelled in the Lyman direction in the areas of the settlements of Novoselivka, Drobysheve, Lyman, Ozerne, and Yampil.
In the Slavyansk direction, the Defense Forces successfully stopped 23 attempts by the invaders to advance near Kryvaya Luka, Zakitne, Rai-Oleksandrivka, and Riznykivka.
Six enemy assaults were recorded in the Kramatorsk direction in the areas of Malynivka and Nykyforivka.
In the Kostyantynivka direction, the Defense Forces repelled 13 enemy assaults near Kostyantynivka, Ivano-Frankivsk, Illinivka, and Rusyn Yar; another clash is ongoing.
A total of 34 attacks were carried out by the enemy in the Pokrovsk direction. The occupiers tried to advance in the areas of the settlements of Sofiivka, Toretske, Bilytske, Novy Donbas, Bilozerske, Shevchenko, Hryshyne, Myrne, Vasylivka, Sergiyevka, Udachne and Molodetske.
