During July 16, there were almost 200 clashes between the Ukrainian Defense Forces and Russian invaders at the front, in particular, 25 enemy attacks were recorded in the Pokrovsky direction.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this on Facebook , publishing operational information as of 10:00 p.m., Ukrinform reports.
"In total, 199 combat clashes have taken place since the beginning of this day. The aggressor launched one missile strike, used eight missiles, carried out 54 air strikes using 171 guided bombs, used 6,076 kamikaze drones for strikes, and carried out 2,041 shelling of the positions of our troops and settlements," the report says.
In the North Slobozhansk and Kursk directions, the enemy carried out 49 attacks on settlements and positions of our troops, one of which involved the use of a multiple launch rocket system.
During the day, in the South Slobozhansk direction, the enemy stormed the positions of our units 15 times towards the settlements of Izbitske, Kutkivka, Khatnie, Kozacha Lopan, Hoptivka, Radkivka, Vilcha, and Bereznyki.
In the Kupyansk direction today, the enemy carried out one assault on the positions of the Defense Forces in the Kolisnykivka area.
Nine attempts by the invaders to advance were repelled in the Lyman direction in the areas of Novoselivka, Drobysheve, Novomykhailivka and towards the settlements of Dibrova and Ozerne. Three clashes are currently ongoing.
In the Slavyansk direction, the Defense Forces successfully stopped 23 attempts by the invaders to advance towards the settlements of Kryva Luka, Rai-Oleksandrivka, Pyskunivka, Mykolaivka, and in the Riznykivka and Zakytne districts.
In the Kramatorsk direction, the Russian invaders carried out one attack towards Tikhonivka.
In the Kostyantynivka direction, the Defense Forces repelled 16 enemy assaults in the areas of the settlements of Kostyantynivka, Illinivka, Ivano-Pillya, Stepanivka, and in the direction of Dovha Balka.
