Poll: Vast Majority Of Americans Want Iran War To End Now; Vance Issues Reality Check To Israel: America Is Your Only Ally, Start Acting Like It

Poll: Vast Majority Of Americans Want Iran War To End Now:
This poll comes as the Trump Administration is actively involved in peace efforts with Iran, with Vice President JD Vance at the forefront of the negotiations.
78 percent of Americans want the war in Iran to end now, compared to 22 percent who said the war should continue until Iran gives up more, according to a new CBS News poll. A majority of both Republicans and Democrats said they want the war to end, including 60 percent of all Republicans and 56 percent of “MAGA” Republicans.
A recent Quantus poll also found similar results, with most respondents saying they support the preliminary U.S.-Iran agreement, with only 13 percent saying they disagree.
Although the CBS poll found that most Americans support ending the war, less than half of all respondents said the operations in Iran were successful for the U.S. in terms of its strategic, military, and economic interests. In other words, most respondents said the war with Iran was not worth the cost to the United States.
This poll comes as the Trump administration is actively involved in peace talks with Iran. President Donald Trump announced an initial agreement June 14 to end the war and reopen the Strait of Hormuz. Trump and Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian remotely signed the memorandum of understanding June 17, which began a 60-day window for negotiations.
Vice President JD Vance has been at the forefront of recent negotiations, specifically those surrounding Iran’s nuclear program. The vice president spent his weekend in Switzerland, where he participated in peace talks with Iran, mediated by Qatar and Pakistan. A statement by Qatar and Pakistan described the summit as a “positive and constructive atmosphere.”
In a June 18 White House press conference, Vance called out members of the Israeli government for opposing a peace agreement: “If I was in the cabinet of the Israeli government, I might not be attacking the only powerful ally that I have anywhere left in the entire world.” --->READ MORE HERE

Vance Issues Reality Check To Israel: America Is Your Only Ally, Start Acting Like It:
‘Anybody in Israel who thinks their biggest problem is the president of the United States needs to wake up and smell the reality of the situation that country is in,’ Vance said.
ice President J.D. Vance called out Israeli counter-signaling of U.S.-Iran negotiations, telling the country’s leadership that its popularity in the world has been diminishing and the United States, under President Donald Trump, is the “only powerful ally” Israel has left.
“Donald J. Trump is the only head of state in the entire world who is sympathetic to the nation of Israel at this moment in time, and he happens to be the head of state of the world superpower,” Vance said. “If I was in the cabinet of the Israeli government, I might not be attacking the only powerful ally that I have anywhere left in the entire world.”
Support for Israel in the U.S. has been declining precipitously in both parties and across several age demographics.
At a Thursday press conference in the White House briefing room, Vance was asked about Axios reporting suggesting Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was “fum[ing]” over the memorandum of understanding (MOU) signed between the United States and Iran to begin the process of ending the war.
Vance responded that the reporting was “not reflective of the conversations that I’ve had with him, but maybe he’s saying something to somebody else that he’s not saying to me.” He then went on to call out Netanyahu’s cabinet officials who, he said, have been critical, and in some cases defiant, of Trump over his negotiations with Iran.
“Trump’s agreement does not bind us. Israel is not subject to the United States, and we are an independent and sovereign nation!” Israeli Minister of National Security Itamar Ben-Gvir said, according to a translation X provided of a post on social media. --->READ MORE HERE
