A new Heritage Action poll further confirms voters’ overwhelming support for proof of citizenship and ID to vote.
While congressional Democrats rail against a voter verification bill they claim is “voter suppression,” their rising socialist star is demanding multiple forms of identification to shovel snow.
New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani put a call out for help as a powerful snowstorm pummelled the Big Apple. His Sanitation Department is recruiting temporary workers to shovel out the city.
Applicants can earn up to $28.71 per hour, but to get the gig they have to show some ID, Fox News reported. That includes two photos, two original forms of identification and copies, and their Social Security card.
As SNL’s Church Lady said long ago, “Isn’t that special?” New York City’s Board of Elections doesn’t demand ID from most registered voters. There’s less scrutiny on who is voting in the city’s elections than who is shoveling its bus stops and sidewalks.
According to Democrats: three forms of ID are required to shovel snow... but we shouldn't have voter ID? 🤡

‘The Irony Cannot be Understated’
Meanwhile, Democrats in Congress are doing everything they can to kill the SAVE America Act, a bill that would require documentary proof of citizenship to register to vote and a photo ID to cast a vote. Americans need IDs to buy booze and cigarettes and rent a car and board a plane and collect welfare benefits, but asking would-be voters to show proof of eligibility is a bridge too far for Democrats.
“The irony cannot be understated: New York Democrats are actively asking for IDs to shovel snow, but fighting in Congress to stop voter ID by insanely suggesting it’s “voter suppression,” Sonali Patel, Republican National Committee Rapid Response director, wrote Monday in a press release.
Patel notes that all New York Democrats in the House voted against the measure, including Senate Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries and others facing competitive races in this year’s midterm elections. --->READ MORE HERE

As New York City braces for a major winter storm, the city is recruiting emergency snow shovelers — and requiring photo identification as part of the registration process.
According to the New York City Department of Sanitation (DSNY), individuals seeking to work as “Emergency Snow Shovelers” must present “two small photos (1-1/2 inch square),” “two original forms of ID, plus copies,” and a Social Security card to register.
The temporary workers are hired on a per diem basis to clear snow and ice from bus stops, crosswalks, fire hydrants, and other public areas after heavy snowfall. Pay starts at $19.14 per hour and increases to $28.71 per hour after the first 40 hours worked in a week.
To qualify, applicants must be at least 18 years old, eligible to work in the United States, and able to perform heavy physical labor.
Photo ID Required For Snow Removal Work
The identification requirements are listed publicly on the DSNY website as part of the official registration process. Workers must provide original documentation to verify eligibility and process payroll.
The city describes the program as an opportunity to “Get paid to help keep New Yorkers safe after winter storms.”
New York does not generally require registered voters to show photo identification at the polls. According to the New York City Board of Elections, “Registered voters do not need to show ID to vote, unless they did not provide identification with their registration.” --->READ MORE HERE
