Nearly two-thirds of likely 2026 midterm election voters support deporting illegal aliens from the United States, a new poll released Monday shows.
In its latest survey of 1,004 likely 2026 voters, the political polling firm Cygnal found that respondents support removing illegal aliens from America and sending them back to their country of origin by a nearly 2:1 margin (61 to 34 percent). The poll also found strong support for ICE enforcement of federal immigration laws and agreement that illegally entering the United States is a violation of such laws.
“Voters see illegal immigration as a simple question of law and order,” Cygnal Founder and CEO Brent Buchanan said in a statement. “The data leaves no wiggle room. Americans want the law enforced, they want illegal immigrants removed, and they punish politicians who try to block ICE from doing its job.”
The survey was conducted from Jan. 27 to Jan. 28 and has a margin of error of 3.09 percent.
According to the Cygnal data, 73 percent of respondents agreed when asked if “individuals who have entered the United States without legal permission have broken the law,” compared with 22 percent who disagreed. The survey furthermore found that a majority (54 percent) support ICE “enforcing federal immigration laws to remove illegal immigrants from the U.S.” and oppose (58 percent) efforts to defund the agency — including majorities of swing voters.
Nearly two-thirds of likely voters (64 percent) also said they believe illegal immigration is “a problem” in America, according to the data.
Democrat-led efforts to shut down the federal government over ICE funding to protest the Trump administration’s deportation policies similarly fared poorly among surveyed voters. The poll found that while Democrats enjoy a 4-point lead in the congressional ballot, that lead evaporates if Democrats move to “defund ICE” (R+0) and shut down the government “to defund ICE” (R+2). --->READ MORE HERE

A new poll released by the firm Cygnal has shown that Trump’s deportation agenda continues to grow more popular with the American people in spite of the best efforts of Democrats and the media to malign the administration.

Swing voters and independents overwhelmingly agree that those who have illegally entered the country have broken the law at 82 percent and 70 percent, respectively. Overall, 73 percent of American voters agree with the sentiment, while a surprisingly high 48 percent of Democrats would say that illegal border crossings constitute a crime.
In our new @cygnal poll, 82% of swing voters say those who came here illegally broke the law (only 13% disagree), and 66% oppose shutting the govt. down to defund ICE. https://t.co/EPQVnjAhL6

64 percent of the total electorate feels that illegal immigration is a “very” or “somewhat serious problem,” while 61 percent of Democrats feel that it isn’t a problem at all. Swing voters and independents once again side with Republicans, with 71 percent of swing voters and 60 percent of independents being aligned on the issue.
