Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of January 11:
Today, Ukrainian Defense Forces decisively repelled 200 Russian attacks across the entire front line. The fiercest battles took place in the South Slobozhanskyi, Pokrovsk, and Huliaipole directions, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
As of 10 p.m. Kyiv time on January 11, 2026, there have been 200 combat engagements since the beginning of the day. Ukrainian defenders are inflicting fire damage on the Russian troops and holding back their attempts to advance.
Russians carried out 48 air strikes, dropping 129 guided bombs, launched 1,868 suicide drones, and carried out 2,121 shelling attacks on the positions of Ukrainian troops and populated areas.
North-Slobozhanskyi and Kursk directions: 85 Russian strikes, including 4 from MLRS.
South-Slobozhanskyi direction: 14 Russian attacks in the areas of Prylypka, Dvorichanske, Dovhenke, and other settlements. Four combat engagements are ongoing.
Kupiansk direction: Russia conducted 9 attempts to advance towards Petropavlivka, Novoplatonivka, Kupiansk, and Bohuslavka; one combat engagement is ongoing.
Russia continues its attempts to penetrate and consolidate its positions in the city.
Lyman direction: 15 Russian assaults were repelled, one is still ongoing.
Sloviansk and Kramatorsk directions: several Russian attacks, fighting is partially ongoing.
Kostiantynivka direction: 16 combat engagements.
Pokrovsk direction: since the beginning of the day, Russia has attacked 43 times in the areas of the settlements of Nykanorivka, Rodynske, Pokrovsk, Sukhetske, Kotlyne, Udachne, Molodetske, Filiia, and in the direction of Ivanivka, Hryshyne, Toretsk, and Novopavlivka. War update: 200 combat engagements today, most of them in Pokrovsk sector:
Since the beginning of the day, 200 combat engagements have taken place between the Ukrainian Defense Forces and Russian troops, including 43 assaults recorded in the Pokrovsk sector.
The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces said this in an update on Facebook as of 22:00 on Sunday, January 11, Ukrinform reports.
Russian forces carried out 48 airstrikes, dropping 129 guided aerial bombs. In addition, they used 1,868 attack drones and conducted 2,121 shelling attacks on Ukrainian positions and populated areas.
In the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk sectors, the enemy carried out 85 attacks, including four using multiple launch rocket systems.
In the Southern Slobozhanshchyna direction, the enemy launched 14 assaults near the settlements of Prylipka, Dvorichanske, Dovhenke, Starytsia, Kruhle, Chuhunivka, Kutkivka and toward Hrafske, Lyman, and Kolodiazne. Four engagements are ongoing.
In the Kupiansk sector, the enemy made nine attempts to advance toward Petropavlivka, Novoplatonivka, Kupiansk and Bohuslavka. One engagement is ongoing.
In the Lyman sector, Ukrainian forces repelled 15 assault actions near Hrekivka, Karpivka, Shandryholove, Novoiehorivka, Zarichne, Yampil, and in the direction of Lyman, Stavky, and Drobysheve. One more engagement is ongoing.
In the Sloviansk sector, the enemy attacked twice near Platonivka.
In the Kramatorsk sector, one engagement took place near Stupochky.
In the Kostiantynivka sector, 16 engagements occurred today, as the enemy tried to storm Ukrainian positions near Kostiantynivka, Oleksandro-Shultyne, Pleshchiivka, Ivanopillia, Rusyn Yar, and toward Sofiivka and Berestok.
In the Pokrovsk sector, the enemy launched 43 assaults since the beginning of the day near Nykanorivka, Rodynske, Pokrovsk, Sukhetske, Kotlyne, Udachne, Molodetske, Filiia and toward Ivanivka, Hryshyne, Toretske, and Novopavlivka.
