2 Pittsburgh Business Owners Charged in EBT Fraud Scheme; Mohammed Used Food Stamps to Buy $180,000 in Food to Resell at His Deli: Systemic fraud and Third World Immigration

2 Pittsburgh business owners charged in EBT fraud scheme:
Two Pittsburgh business owners have been charged after an investigation by Attorney General Dave Sunday's office found that they purchased electronic benefit transfer cards at a discounted rate and used them to purchase food for their businesses.
Rachna Anwar, 46, and Munir Chaudhri, 62, face multiple felony charges, including corrupt organizations and dealing in the proceeds of unlawful activity, according to a release from the Attorney General Sunday's office.
The investigation found that the pair purchased EBT cards from individuals receiving public assistance benefits, then used the cards to make more than $178,000 in purchases at Sam's Club and other retailers, authorities said.
Chaudhri and Anwar own businesses beside each other on East Ohio Street, Lillen's Restaurant and a deli.
Court papers allege the two racked up the fraudulent charges starting in 2021. Last year, investigators were tipped off to fraud at a Sam's Club on Mount Nebo Road.
Anwar allegedly had 408 EBT purchases with 165 different accounts. Attorney General Sunday's office says the couple totaled more than 800 transactions from February 2021 to October 2025, totaling $178,289.
Retired police chief and Pennsylvania State Police Trooper Terry Seilhamer says this case is not common, but it's not new.
"Once they're in the account, the person whose name is on the account becomes the victim if the funds are stolen," Seilhamer said. --->READ MORE HERE
Mohammed Used Food Stamps to Buy $180,000 in Food to Resell at His Deli:
Systemic fraud and third world immigration.
The lesson in Minnesota or in this case out of Pennsylvania is that while America’s welfare rats may be too dumb and lack ambition to do anything more than sign up for welfare, there are malicious third worlders with the knack to really game the system and cash in on the welfare state.
Consider the allegations made by Pennsylvania in Mohammad’s case.
Pennsylvania’s attorney general has charged a McCandless couple with running an “elaborate scheme” to illegally buy food stamps at a cut rate, use them to purchase nearly $180,000 in food from area stores, then resell the items at their Pittsburgh deli and restaurant.

Rachna Anwar, 46, and her husband, Munir Mohammad Chaudhri, 62, used 453 Electronic Benefit Transfer cards belonging to other people on hundreds of transactions since 2021, authorities said.

The couple ran the operation, in part, by offering people cash in exchange for their EBT card.

Authorities said the operation dates back to at least 2021 and accounts for $178,289 worth of goods, mostly food items.

The former employee, who worked as a delivery driver at the couple’s restaurant from 2023 to last year, said Chaudhri would buy EBT cards from “drug addicts” for half of the card’s balance, authorities said.

Chaudhri would check the balances of each card in his wife’s deli next door, then pay individuals for the cards with cash, according to investigators.
This isn’t some new and innovative idea.
Mamdani keeps name checking ‘bodegas’, a whole bunch of these people are actually run by Muslim immigrants who, unlike the Chinese or Latino owners, engage in large scale systemic EBT fraud.
Search for various spellings of ‘Mohammed’ and food stamp fraud and you’ll find all too many cases. --->READ MORE HERE
