The Hulyaipil direction has surpassed the Pokrovsky direction in terms of the number of enemy attacks – General Staff:

Since the beginning of the day on January 3, 191 combat clashes have taken place on the front, with the largest number of attacks, 33, recorded in the Hulyaipil direction, while in the Pokrovsky direction, which had long been the leader in the number of battles, 31.

Details : In the North Slobozhansk and Kursk directions, the enemy carried out 63 attacks on positions of Ukrainian troops and settlements, including two from multiple launch rocket systems.

In the South Slobozhansk direction, Ukrainian soldiers repelled 16 attacks in the areas of the settlements of Vovchansk, Starytsia, Prylipky and in the direction of Izbitsky. Two clashes are ongoing.

In the Kupyansk direction, the enemy attacked the positions of the defenders 14 times in the areas of Synkivka, Novaya Kruglyakivka and in the direction of Kupyansk, Petropavlivka, Hlushkivka, Bohuslavka, Kucherivka and Kurylivka. Four clashes are ongoing.

In the Lyman direction, the enemy launched 22 attacks, trying to advance in the areas of Novoselivka, Myrne, Zarichny, Yampol and towards the settlements of Olhivka, Ozerne, Drobysheve, and Stavka. Two combat clashes are ongoing.

In the Slavyansk direction, Ukrainian soldiers repelled four enemy attacks in the Dronivka areas and towards Zakitne and Nikiforivka.

In the Kostyantynivka direction, the enemy tried 18 times to penetrate the Ukrainian defenses in the areas of the settlements of Oleksandro-Shultyne, Pleshchiivka, Kleban-Byk, Shcherbynivka, Rusyn Yar, Sofiivka and towards Ivano-Pol, Berestok and Stepanivka.

In the Pokrovsky direction, the aggressor carried out 31 assault and offensive operations in the areas of the settlements of Rodynske, Myrnograd, Kotlyne, Udachne, Zatyshok, Filiya and towards Bilytsky. Currently, fighting is taking place in four locations. --->READ MORE HERE

War update: 191 frontline clashes, intense fighting on Pokrovsk, Huliaipole fronts:

On January 3, Ukrainian Defense Forces clashed 191 times with Russian invaders, with the heaviest fighting reported in the Pokrovsk and Huliaipole sectors.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this on Facebook, sharing operational data as of 22:00 on Saturday, January 3, as cited by Ukrinform.

“Since the start of the day, there have been 191 combat encounters. According to updated information, the enemy carried out one missile strike with a single rocket on our positions and settlements, 41 airstrikes using 110 guided bombs, and 3,440 strikes by kamikaze drones. The enemy also conducted 2,341 artillery and mortar shellings,” the statement reads.

In the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk sectors, the enemy shelled Ukrainian positions and settlements 63 times, including two rocket artillery strikes.

In the Southern Slobozhanshchyna sector, Ukrainian forces repelled 16 attacks near Vovchansk, Starytsia, Prylipky, and toward Izbytske. Two encounters are ongoing.

In the Kupiansk sector, the enemy attacked Ukrainian positions 14 times in areas including Synkivka, Nova Kruhliakivka, Kupiansk, Petropavlivka, Hlushkivka, Bohuslavka, Kucherivka, and Kurylivka. Four clashes are still ongoing.

In the Lyman sector, Russian forces carried out 22 attacks attempting to advance near Novoselivka, Myrne, Zarichne, Yampil, and toward Olhivka, Ozerne, Drobysheve, and Stavky. Two clashes continue.

In the Sloviansk sector, Ukrainian forces repelled four enemy attacks near Dronivka, Zakitne, and Nykiforivka.

In the Kramatorsk sector, no offensive actions were recorded.

In the Kostiantynivka sector, the enemy attempted 18 times to breach Ukrainian defenses near Oleksandro-Shultyne, Pleshchiivka, Kleban-Byk, Shcherbynivka, Rusyn Yar, Sofiivka, and toward Ivanopillia, Berestka, and Stepanivka.

In the Pokrovsk sector, Russian forces carried out 31 assaults near Rodynske, Myrnohrad, Kotlyne, Udachne, Zatyshok, Filiia, and toward Bilytske. Fighting continues at four locations.
