Woman Finds 250 Ballots In Amazon Box As Maine Dems Fight Voter ID Law:
Now is the time to put an end to mystery ballot deliveries in Amazon boxes by enacting voter ID in Maine. Real democracy requires trustworthy elections, and trustworthy elections require voter ID.
Democrats have been telling us for years that voter fraud doesn’t exist. But after 250 ballots were found mysteriously in a woman’s Amazon box in Maine, it is clearer than ever that Maine — like every other state — needs voter ID laws.
On Sept. 30, a woman in Newburgh, Maine, received a battered Amazon box that was covered in tape. Inside was her Amazon order — along with official ballots for an upcoming election, when Mainers will vote on, of all things, requiring photo ID to vote.
Democrats are frantically opposed to Question One, which would require identification for voting and prohibit people from dropping off other people’s ballots. Maine Democrat Party Chairman Charlie Dingman recently sent out a text message to supporters warning that if the voter ID law passes, Democrats would lose about 13,000 votes in Maine’s elections. Give him credit for candor: Democrats openly oppose voter integrity because honest elections will make it more difficult for them to win.
The woman in charge of securing the integrity of Maine’s elections is Secretary of State Shenna Bellows, a former ACLU staffer and career left-wing activist who unsuccessfully tried to remove President Donald Trump from the ballot in 2024. Bellows has claimed that voter fraud simply doesn’t exist in Maine. However, she has admitted that some noncitizens might be registered to vote. Meanwhile, she has announced that she is running for governor of Maine next year at the same time she is overseeing the election.
Bellows says that she has opened an investigation into the missing ballots. Time will tell if she will toe the national Democrat Party line that voter fraud isn’t happening and it’s not a big deal if it is. It’s worth remembering that Bellows recently told the U.S. Department of Justice to “go jump in the Gulf of Maine” when it requested Maine’s voter rolls. --->READ MORE HERE
Amazon says it's not responsible for Maine ballots found in Newburgh woman's package:
Amazon says the hundreds of Maine ballots found in a Newburgh woman's package were not put in the box by anyone who works for the company.
The Newburgh resident said she found five bundles of 50 blank ballots in an Amazon delivery she received Sept. 30. The woman told Maine's Total Coverage reporter Jackie Mundry the package appeared to have already been opened and retaped.
According to the woman, she found all the items she had ordered in addition to the 250 ballots for the Nov. 4 general election. She said she immediately called the Newburgh Town Office and handed the ballots over.
In a statement shared with Maine's Total Coverage, Amazon said it is cooperating with the law enforcement agencies investigating the incident and it seems someone outside the company is responsible.
The company said that based on initial findings, it appears the package was tampered with outside of Amazon's fulfillment and delivery network, and not by an Amazon employee or partner.
Maine Secretary of State Shenna Bellows said the city of Ellsworth received two boxes of absentee ballots as planned on Sept. 30, but one of those boxes was missing five packets of ballots totaling 250 ballots. Bellows said Ellsworth officials notified state election officials, who then contacted the printer and authorized carrier of the ballots to investigate what happened.
In addition, Bellows said a conservative blogger emailed a staff member at the Secretary of State's Office at about 1:30 a.m. on Oct. 1 to notify them that they would be posting an article about the Newburgh woman's claims. Bellows said state election officials did not receive word from Newburgh town officials until 8 a.m. on Oct. 1, who reported that they received the blank ballots from the resident. According to Bellows, detectives with her office immediately went to Newburgh and secured the blank ballots. --->READ MORE HERE
