Ghislaine Maxwell has quietly been moved to a far more favorable Texas prison camp as she hashes out a possible deal to divulge secrets about her sex-crimes accomplice Jeffrey Epstein.
The 63-year-old convicted child sex trafficker was transferred from a lockup in Florida to a less restrictive prison camp in Bryan, Texas, the federal Bureau of Prisons told The Post on Friday, without giving a reason for the move.
Maxwell’s lawyer, David Oscar Marcus, also declined to elaborate, saying, “We can confirm that she was moved but we have no comment.”
Her unexpected move from Federal Correctional Institution Tallahassee was handled directly by BOP officials, rather than US Marshalls, according to the New York Sun, which said it included a “brief stopover” in FCI Oakdale in Louisiana.
In her new minimum-security camp in Texas, Maxwell’s new neighbors include Elizabeth Holmes, the disgraced fraudster convicted of ripping off investors in her now-defunct blood-testing company Theranos. --->READ MORE HERE

Socialite convicted of sex trafficking taken to a minimum-security jail in Texas after brother said Jeffrey Epstein investigation was putting her safety at risk
Ghislaine Maxwell has been transferred from a federal prison in Florida to a minimum-security jail in Texas after meeting justice department officials who asked for her co-operation in their investigations into Jeffrey Epstein’s sex-trafficking ring.
Maxwell was convicted in 2021 for her role in helping Epstein recruit, groom and abuse underage girls, and sentenced to 20 years in prison.
The British former socialite, 63, was being held at a federal prison in Tallahassee. The Bureau of Prisons and Ian Maxwell, Ghislaine’s brother, have confirmed she has been moved to the Federal Prison Camp, Bryan in southeast Texas.
The more than 500 inmates at the Bryan facility include Elizabeth Holmes, the biotechnology entrepreneur convicted of fraud at her Theranos blood-testing company. Most of the inmates are serving time for non-violent offences and white-collar crimes, unlike Maxwell’s offence of sex-trafficking.
A Bureau of Prisons source told the New York Sun that Maxwell’s transfer was “unusual” as it was handled by bureau officials themselves, rather than by the US Marshals Service, which typically oversees the interstate transportation of inmates.
Last week Maxwell met Todd Blanche, the deputy attorney-general, as part of an effort by the Trump administration to quell the backlash over the so-called Epstein files.
David Oscar Markus, Maxwell’s lawyer, said there had been “no asks and no promises” about a presidential pardon during the meeting, but told reporters she “would welcome any relief”.
Ian Maxwell, who speaks regularly to his sister by phone from the UK, told The Times last week that the renewed scrutiny on the Epstein case had made her more vulnerable. He said Ghislaine did not believe Epstein killed himself and that she was now at “greater risk”. --->READ MORE HERE
