On July 20, Ukrainian forces engaged in 122 combat clashes with Russian invaders, including 34 assaults repelled in the Pokrovsk sector.
The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces published a war update as of 22:00 on Sunday, July 20, on Facebook, according to Ukrinform.
"Russian occupiers launched two missile strikes using five missiles, 53 airstrikes dropping 71 guided bombs, and deployed 1,427 kamikaze drones. They also conducted 4,327 shelling attacks on Ukrainian positions and populated areas," the post said.
In the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk sectors, 18 engagements were recorded, with five still ongoing. The enemy launched nine airstrikes, 12 guided bombs, and 229 artillery attacks.
In the Southern Slobozhanshchyna sector, four enemy attacks were recorded near Vovchansk, Krasne Pershe, Kutkivka, and Starytsia.
In the Kupiansk sector, four enemy attacks were recorded near Kindrashivka, Zelenyi Hai, and toward Kupiansk, with one engagement still ongoing.
In the Lyman sector, 17 Russian assaults were repelled near Karpivka, Kolodiazi, Novyi Myr, Ridkodub, Shandryholove, Torske, and toward Serebrianka, with three engagements ongoing.
In the Siversk sector, six Russian attacks were recorded in the areas of Vyimka, Verkhniokamianske, Fedorivka, and Hryhorivka, with three engagements ongoing.
In the Kramatorsk sector, Russian forces launched one attack toward Predtechyne.
In the Toretsk sector, eight clashes were recorded today, with Russian attempts to storm Ukrainian positions near Dyliivka, Shcherbynivka, Rusyn Yar, Toretsk, and toward Katerynivka. Two attacks are still underway.
In the Pokrovsk sector, since the beginning of the day, Russian forces carried out 36 attacks near Poltavka, Udachne, Novoekonomichne, Lysivka, Zvirrove, Novopavlivka, Orikhove, Oleksiivka, and toward Pokrovsk and Myrnohrad. In the Lyman direction , the Defense Forces have already repelled 17 enemy assaults in the areas of the settlements of Karpivka, Kolodiazi, Novyi Myr, Ridkodub, Shandyholove, Torske, and in the direction of Serebryanka, three combat engagements are still ongoing.
In the Siversk direction , the enemy attacked six times in the areas of Vyyimka, Verkhnokamyanske, Fedorivka, and Hryhorivka, three combat engagements are still ongoing.
Since the beginning of the day in the Kramatorsk direction , the enemy attacked once in the direction of Predtechyne.
