Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of June 23:

Since the beginning of the day, 127 combat engagements have taken place along the entire front line, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

According to the General Staff, the enemy launched three missile strikes and 19 airstrikes, using 17 missiles and dropping 37 guided aerial bombs (KABs). In addition, Russian forces deployed 1,004 kamikaze drones and carried out 4,252 attacks on populated areas and positions of Ukrainian forces.

Situation on the frontlines

Northern-Slobozhanskyi and Kursk directions: Since the beginning of the day, Ukrainian troops have repelled six enemy assault attempts. Two more combat engagements are still ongoing.

Southern-Slobozhanskyi direction: The enemy tried to storm Ukrainian positions four times near the settlements of Dvorichna, Vovchanski Khutory, Krasne Pershe, and Fiholivka. All attacks have been repelled. An airstrike hit the area of Ozerne.

Kupiansk direction: Ukrainian defenders repelled four attacks in the areas of Kindrashivka, Kruhliakivka, and toward Pishchane and Petropavlivka.

Lyman direction: Ukrainian forces stopped 21 enemy attacks near the settlements of Tverdokhlibove, Ridkodub, Karpivka, Kolodiazi, and in the directions of Hrekivka, Zelena Dolyna, Novyi Myr, and Olhivka. One combat engagement is still underway.

Siversk direction: The enemy carried out one offensive action in the area of Hryhorivka.

Kramatorsk direction: Ukrainian defenders repelled 10 enemy attempts to advance in the areas of Novomarkove, Chasiv Yar, and in the directions of Mykolaivka, Stupochky, Pryvyllia, and Bondarne. Another battle is still ongoing.

Toretsk direction: Today, the Russian army launched 24 assaults on Ukrainian positions near Dyliivka, Shcherbynivka, Petrivka, Yablunivka, Rusyn Yar, and in the directions of Pleshchiivka and Yablunivka. The Defense Forces are firmly holding the line and have repelled all assaults.

Pokrovsk direction: The enemy launched 49 attacks, showing high activity near the settlements of Promin, Novotoretske, Myroliubivka, Lysivka, Novoukrainka, Novoserhiivka, Udachne, Myrnohrad, Novosergiivka, Oleksiivka, Popiv Yar, Malynivka, Koptiieve, and in the directions of Shakhove, Volodymyrivka, Molodetske, Serhiivka, and Novopavlivka. War update: 127 clashes along frontline, Pokrovsk sector remains hottest:

There were 127 combat engagements on the front, with Russian forces launching 49 attacks on Ukrainian Defense Forces’ positions in the Pokrovsk sector.

According to Ukrinform, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this in its operational update at 22:00 on June 23, 2025 via Facebook.

“Since the beginning of the day, there have been 127 combat clashes. The enemy launched three missile and 19 airstrikes, used 17 missiles, and dropped 37 guided aerial bombs (GABs). Additionally, they deployed 1,004 kamikaze drones and conducted 4,252 shellings of populated areas and our troop positions,” the post reads.

In the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk sectors, Ukrainian forces repelled six enemy assaults; two clashes are still ongoing.

In the Southern Slobozhanshchyna sector, the enemy attempted four assaults near Dvorichna, Vovchanski Khutory, Krasne Pershe, and Fyholivka. All attacks were repelled. Aerial strikes hit the area of Ozerne.

In the Siversk sector, the enemy made one assault attempt near Hryhorivka.

In the Kramatorsk sector, the Ukrainian defenders repelled 10 assaults near Novomarkove, Chasiv Yar, Mykolaivka, Stupochky, Pryvillia, and Bondarne. Another clash continues.

In the Toretsk sector, 24 Russian attacks were launched near Dyliivka, Shcherbynivka, Petrivka, Yablunivka, Rusyn Yar, and Pleshchiivka. All were successfully repelled.

In the Pokrovsk sector, the Russians conducted 49 attacks near Promin, Novotoretske, Myroliubivka, Lysivka, Novoukrainka, Novoserhiivka, Udachne, Myrnohrad, Oleksiivka, Malynivka, Koptieve, and toward Shahove, Volodymyrivka, Molodetske, Serhiivka, Novopavlivka.
