Petulant government employees are being mocked online after posting TikTok videos moaning about how President Trump has ordered them back to the office five days a week — with one wailing: “I am so upset.”
The taxpayer-funded workers quickly went viral after griping about the executive order Trump signed Jan. 20 that requires federal agencies to ax remote work options — forcing most staffers to show their faces in person.
In one clip, Genesis Cuesta, a federal court worker in Washington, DC, raged it was “f–ked” that she and her co-workers have to show up beginning March 10.
“It happened … what a way to end the week,” Cuesta said in a since-deleted TikTok video. “Five o’clock on a Friday, got our notice, effective March 10th, we’re back in the office five days a week — no telework, and that’s the most f–ked thing.”
“I am so upset, I am so mad,” she continued. “Like, this f–king sucks. This sucks. And the crazy thing is, we’ve only just begun … We’re just getting started in all of this f–kery.”

Federal employees across the country are being told to return to their offices full-time following a memo from the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) addressing the "Return to In-Person Work" executive order signed by President Donald Trump. The memo, confirmed by an OPM spokesperson, outlines the directives that federal agencies must follow to comply with the order.
According to the memo, OPM is requiring all federal agencies to notify their employees by Friday at 5 p.m. of their compliance with the executive order. Agencies are also mandated to update their telework policies with new language emphasizing in-person attendance.
Key highlights from the OPM memo include:
- Mandatory in-person work: Eligible employees must work full-time at their designated duty stations unless they are excused due to a disability, qualifying medical condition, or another compelling reason approved by the agency head and the employee's supervisor.
- Policy overhaul: Federal agencies must revise their telework policies to reflect the in-person work requirement.
- Compliance deadline: Agencies are being directed to establish a target date within 30 days to be fully compliant with the executive order.
The executive order has stirred controversy among federal employees and unions representing them. Many workers have grown accustomed to remote work since the COVID-19 pandemic, citing increased productivity, work-life balance, and cost savings as key benefits. However, the order aims to prioritize workplace oversight, collaboration, and government efficiency by bringing employees back to the office --->READ MORE HEREFollow links below to relevant/related stories and resources:
