As of 10:00 PM on January 6 (Kyiv time), 199 combat engagements occurred in the frontline since the beginning of the day. The Kursk and Pokrovsk directions are the hottest, reports the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Today, Russian forces conducted 48 airstrikes using 57 guided bombs. Additionally, they deployed 837 kamikaze drones and carried out more than 4,000 attacks on Ukrainian positions and civilian settlements.

Hottest directions and frontline situation

In Russia's Kursk direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled 44 enemy attacks, with 42 more ongoing clashes.

In the Pokrovsk direction, Russian forces attempted to breach Ukrainian defenses 40 times near the settlements of Myroliubivka, Promin, Sukhyi Yar, Pishchane, Kotlyne, Ukrainka, Yasenove, Novoyelyzavetivka, Tarasivka, Yelyzavetivka, Lysivka, Zelene, Novyi Trud, and Pokrovsk. "The enemy is suffering significant losses. Today alone, Ukrainian troops in this direction neutralized 375 Russian soldiers, 185 of whom were killed.
