Harris Has a Record On Immigration; Harris-Walz Think They Can Fool Us Into Believing a Fantasy About Their Immigration Policies: The Liberal Media is Creating a Make-Believe Version of Democratic Nominees Kamala Harris and Tim Walz That Bears No Resemblance to Reality

Harris has a record on immigration:
Pinning down Vice President Kamala Harris on any substantive policy matters has been impossible since she helped shove President Joe Biden out of the presidential race. She refuses to answer questions, and her staff is, at best, cryptic in what little information it releases.
For example, when asked if Harris still supports her 2019 position that illegally crossing the border be decriminalized, an unidentified campaign official told Axios, “Unauthorized border crossings are illegal.”
But this is just a statement of current law. It doesn’t tell us what Harris believes, if anything, about whether unauthorized border crossings should continue to be illegal or if she will prosecute migrants who break the law. We still don’t know where Harris stands on decriminalizing illegal immigration.
As much as Democrats may wish otherwise, Harris did not fall out of a coconut tree without a record. There are 20 years of factual evidence about how she deals with illegal immigrants, and voters should look at them. It will give an accurate and disturbing picture of Harris’s ideas on immigration.
She first won elected office in 2003 when she became San Francisco’s 27th district attorney. San Francisco had been a sanctuary city for decades before then, and Harris continued a policy of not cooperating with federal immigration officials on crimes committed by illegal immigrants.
In 2004, Harris’s first year on the job, Edwin Ramos, an illegal immigrant from El Salvador, assaulted a pregnant woman, was convicted of attempted robbery, and served six months in prison before being released. At no point did Harris contact Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials about Ramos’s crime or his illegal status.
Four years later, Ramos was arrested again, this time because a passenger in Ramos’s car, who was a gang member like Ramos, tried to dispose of a gun connected to a double homicide. Harris failed to prosecute Ramos since it could not be proven that he knew his passenger had the gun. But she could have held Ramos in detention until ICE came to deport him. Instead, her office informed ICE about Ramos two hours after it had let him go. It does not seem a coincidence. Three months after Harris let Ramos walk free, he killed a father and two sons in a road rage incident. --->READ MORE HERE

Newt Gingrich: Harris-Walz think they can fool us into believing a fantasy about their immigration policies:
The liberal media is creating a make-believe version of Democratic nominees Kamala Harris and Tim Walz that bears no resemblance to reality
Immigration is one of the biggest issues in the 2024 election. It’s also the issue that Democrats have been most clearly losing.
The American people oppose open borders and massive illegal immigration. They don’t want their tax dollars used to subsidize and reward people who cross the border illegally. And Americans overwhelmingly oppose allowing illegal immigrants to vote.
The left’s philosophy and performance on immigration are so bad – and so counter to what most Americans want – the issue could be decisive in defeating the Kamala Harris-Tim Walz ticket.
Since the propaganda media is desperate to defeat President Donald Trump, there is now a concerted effort to present the Harris-Walz ticket as new and moderate. The media is creating a fantasy version of the candidates which bears no resemblance to reality. Democrats and the media hope the illusion holds up at least through November.
This new strategy of reinventing the Democratic ticket has led to new speeches and advertising in which Harris and Walz pretend to be deeply concerned about illegal immigration, controlling the border, and protecting Americans.
The trouble is, the facts repudiate virtually everything they say.
Vice President Harris has clearly expressed her position that crossing the border illegally should not be a crime. She has opposed a strong border patrol – and at one point suggested the agency needed to be rethought from the ground up.
We know how big the gap is between the Harris-Walz record and the American people. We have been asking Americans their opinions since 2018. We have interviewed more than 37,000 Americans, including more than 5,000 African Americans and more than 5,000 Latinos. You can see all our data at America’s New Majority Project. --->READ MORE HERE
