The enemy attacked our positions eight times in the Kupyansk sector. Near the settlements of Berestove and Stelmakhivka, the Defense Forces repelled seven attacks. The situation is tense, three firefights are ongoing.

In the Liman sector, Russian troops attacked Ukrainian troops 17 times in the areas of Makiivka, Nevske, Hrekivka, Novoyehorivka and Dibrova. Two firefights are currently ongoing.

On the Seversk direction, the enemy tried to force our defenders from their positions in the areas of Spirne, Vyymka and Pereyizne seven times by assault. All attacks were repelled, the enemy was not successful.

In the Kramatorsk sector, Ukrainian troops repelled six attempts by the invaders to advance near Chasovyi Yar and Ivanivske. Four attacks were repelled, and two firefights are ongoing.

In the Toretsk sector, where the occupants attacked our positions near Pivnichne, Toretsk and Zalizne 14 times with the support of the air force, nine combat engagements ended. Fighting continues in five other locations.

The enemy is concentrating its main efforts in the Pokrovske sector, where the aggressor attacked 35 times during the day in the areas of Vozdvyzhenka, Myroliubivka, Novotroitske, Novohrodivka, Hrodivka, Mykolaivka, Zhelanne and Zavitne. 72 combat clashes at front: Toretsk, Pokrovsk sectors remain hottest - Ukraine's General Staff

Since the beginning of the day on August 17, the number of combat clashes has increased to 72. Russian troops are advancing most actively in the Pokrovsk sector

Russian troops continue to use aircraft and artillery along the border of Sumy region. In particular, the areas of the settlements of Fotovizh, Bachivsk, Druzhba, Novovasylivka, Velyka Berizka, Romashkove, Prohres, Popivka, Tymofiivka, and Pokrovka came under artillery fire.

Russian aircraft also struck with guided bombs in the areas of Zarutske, Starykove, Khotyn, Yunakivka, and Basivka.

The Toretsk sector remains one of the hottest and priority areas for the Russian army. The number of enemy attacks here is currently seven.
