Former chief White House medical adviser Anthony Fauci steamrolled Donald Trump at the outset of the COVID-19 pandemic and has only avoided prison time because of Joe Biden’s election in 2020, according to independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
Kennedy, 70, has been a staunch opponent of the government’s response to the outbreak and is a vocal skeptic of the COVID vaccine.
In a podcast interview with Blaze Media CEO Glenn Beck released Saturday, Kennedy heaped vitriol on the longtime head of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases.
“Well, he’s not in jail because — because Joe Biden is president and because, you know, unfortunately Donald Trump colluded with, or was run over by him,” said the son of the late attorney general and senator from New York Robert F. Kennedy.
“Donald Trump knew what was wrong. He knew not to shut down our businesses. And he knew about lockdowns, about ivermectin, hydroxychloroquine, and he tried to speak up but his own bureaucrats told him to shut up and unfortunately he did what he was told,” Kennedy added, arguing that Trump “doesn’t deserve another chance” in office because of it.
Fauci, now 83, was a prominent member of Trump’s White House Coronavirus Task Force and was promoted to Biden’s chief medical adviser in the Democrat’s COVID-19 Response Team before retiring at the end of 2022. --->READ MORE HERE
Independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. said the only reason why Dr. Anthony Fauci isn't in jail is because Joe Biden was elected president.
Kennedy sat down with former Fox News host Glenn Beck for a taping of his podcast, which was released Saturday.
During the nearly hour and a half sit-down, both Kennedy and Beck voiced anger with the U.S. government's response to the COVID-19 pandemic, with Beck finally asking Kennedy why Fauci wasn't behind bars.
'Well he's not in jail because Joe Biden is president,' Kennedy began. 'And because unfortunately Donald Trump colluded with - or was run over by him.'
In previous interviews, Kennedy said he would prosecute Fauci - the former director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases - over his COVID response.
Fauci was a prominent member of Trump's White House Coronavirus Task Force and then went on to join the Biden administration to lead the continued COVID response.
He initially backed closing schools and businesses to stop the spread of COVID-19.
Fauci has been criticized for giving mixed advice about masking and he pushed the population to be vaccinated against the disease.
Kennedy, in particular, took issue with the lockdown policy - which occurred during the Trump administration.
The independent candidate argued that 'Trump got rolled.'
'He came in saying I'm a businessman, I'm going to run this place like a business, right? He gave the keys to all of our shops ... and businesses to Tony Fauci and shut down 3.3 million businesses,' Kennedy said.
