World 'dangerously close' to next pandemic with deadly virus '100x worse than Covid'
Dr Suresh Kuchipudi, a bird flu researcher in Pittsburgh, has warned that the next pandemic is 'dangerously close' thanks to bird flu strain '100 times worse than Covid'
The world is getting “dangerously close” to the next pandemic, an expert has warned.
Avian flu is currently having a serious impact around the world, as cases in humans are rising. A new case was found in Texas, United States recently, which has led to medical professionals worrying about the highly pathogenic and deadly H5N1 strain.
This has led to Dr Suresh Kuchipudi, a bird flu researcher in Pittsburgh warning that the next pandemic is closer than ever before, as the virus apepars to be fatal to around half of those who catch it.
Speaking at a White House briefing, Dr Muchipudi said: “This virus has been on the top of the pandemic list for many, many years and probably decades. And now we are getting dangerously close to this virus potentially causing a pandemic.
“H5N1 viruses have already demonstrated several important features of a potential pandemic virus, the virus is already globally distributed, and this virus particularly that is often perceived as an avian virus can and it has shown the ability to infect a range of mammalian hosts including humans.” --->READ MORE HERE

As bird flu spreads, the Biden admin remains dangerously unprepared for another pandemic:
The H5N1 virus — which for 30 years affected mostly birds — is rapidly evolving and spreading globally.
The Biden administration is dangerously unready.
Over the last two years, H5N1 has jumped from birds to mammals, sickening some 30 species.
South American scientists publishing in the prestigious journal Nature report massive “sea lion die-offs” and warn about “mutations of concern” “potentially evolving into the next global pandemic.”
Here in the United States, dairy cows, never before vulnerable to bird flu, are infected in six states.
Is the public in danger?
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says the risk is “low” but is advising states to be ready with rapid tests.
In the United States, only two human cases have been reported. Neither person died.
But nearly 1,000 people in other parts of the world have contracted the virus — almost always from touching a sick or dead bird or bird feces. Half died.
Some food-safety experts caution against eating runny egg yolks, cheeses made with raw milk and foods made with uncooked eggs. --->READ MORE HERE
