Ukraine’s 3rd Assault Brigade knocks Russians out of Krasnohorivka:

The 3rd Separate Assault Brigade, Ukraine’s Armed Forces, pushed Russian invasion unots from Krasnohorivka in Donetsk region, inflicting massive losses on the enemy and regaining control of the settlement.

That’s according to the brigade’s press service, Ukrinform reports.

Earlier, Russian invaders attacked the south-eastern part of Krasnohorivka and entered the town.

In order not to allow the Russians to gain a foothold in the area, units of the 3rd Separate Assault Brigade alongside fighters from the 1st and 2nd Assault Battalions executed a combat operation to clear the settlement of enemy forces.

"The enemy had managed to quickly prepare for a long defense but, despite their resistance and fierce fighting, the brigade’s assault groups inflicted irreparable losses on the enemy - about 100 invaders were either killed or wounded," the brigade reported.

It is also noted that the Russians refused to surrender so they were liquidated inside the buildings they had captured.

As reported by Ukrinform, the Russian army, operating with aerial support, tried 25 times to break through Ukraine’s defenses in the Novopavlivka direction. Ukraine’s forces continue to hold back the enemy in the Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, Novomykhailivka, and Urozhaine areas of Donetsk region. --->READ MORE HERE

Russian army tries to break through Ukrainian defense 25 times in Novopavlivka sector:

Over the day, 79 combat engagements took place at the front. The Russian army attempted to attack Ukrainian forces 64 times. Most of the attacks took place in the Novopavlivka sector, Donestk region

The Ukrainian Armed Forces’ General Staff reported this on February 28.

Russian attacks across Ukraine

During the day, Russia launched 5 missile strikes, 91 airstrikes, and 102 attacks with multiple launch rocket systems at the Ukrainian troops’ positions and populated areas. Unfortunately, Russian terrorist attacks have resulted in civilian casualties and injuries. Multi-storey and private houses, a church, and other infrastructure facilities were destroyed and damaged.

Frontline situation

Near the state Ukrainian border with Russia and Belarus, the situation hasn't changed significantly, and no enemy offensive groups have been detected. Certain units of the Belarusian Armed Forces are performing tasks in the areas bordering Ukraine.

At the same time, the Russian army continued shelling the entire borderline with mortars and artillery: over 30 settlements across the Chernihiv, Sumy, and Kharkiv regions were attacked.

In the Kupyansk sector, the Ukrainska Defense Forces repelled one Russian attack near Tabaivka, where the Russian army tried to drive Ukrainian troops from their positions. More than 10 settlements came under artillery and mortar fire.

In the Lyman sector, Ukrainian troops repelled six enemy attacks near Terny, Yampolivka in the Donetsk region, and Bilohorivka in the Luhansk region, where the Russian forces tried to break through the Ukrainian army's defense.
