Border Patrol Closing Arizona Crossing Overwhelmed With Illegals:
It's hard to admit, but the U.S. government is being outsmarted by the cartels, coyotes, smugglers, and criminals who are taking advantage of Joe Biden's lax border policies and sending hundreds of thousands of illegal aliens across the border.
When one border crossing is targeted by the smugglers, the border patrol surges resources to deal with it. But once the CBP commits the manpower and material to the targeted crossing, the smugglers simply move on to another crossing. The result is a smuggler's dream; chaos at the border.
After the crossing in Eagle Pass, Texas was overwhelmed with thousands of illegals daily in September and October, the smugglers moved on to the sleepy border crossing in Lukeville, Arizona when the border patrol was just getting a handle on the crush of humanity at Eagle Pass. It's a brilliant strategy. And it's working.
The border patrol has now closed the crossing at Lukeville after the small number of agents assigned to the crossroads couldn't handle the crush of illegals. This angered Arizona's Democratic Senator Mark Kelly, former Democrat now independent Senator Krysten Sinema, and Arizona's Democratic Governor Katie Hobbs.
“This is an unacceptable outcome that further destabilizes our border, risks the safety of our communities, and damages our economy by disrupting trade and tourism,” they said in a joint statement. “The Federal Government must act swiftly to maintain port of entry operations, get the border under control, keep Arizona communities safe, and ensure the humane treatment of migrants.” --->READ MORE HERE

US to close Lukeville port in Arizona as border agency struggles with increasing migrant arrivals:
U.S. Customs and Border Protection will temporarily suspend operations at the Lukeville Port of Entry on Monday to help the Border Patrol process the increasing number of migrants crossing in between ports of entry nearby.
The agency's Office of Field Operations port officers will be redirected to help take migrants into custody as the agency grapples with large numbers of arrivals. Northbound and southbound vehicle and pedestrian traffic at the port will be suspended until further notice.
CBP is directing international travelers to cross either through the Nogales ports of entry, over 200 miles east, or through the San Luis Port of Entry, which is roughly 130 miles west. The Lukeville port is the main port that people use to travel to the popular vacation spot of Rocky Point, Sonora.
“In response to increased levels of migrant encounters at the Southwest Border, fueled by smugglers peddling disinformation to prey on vulnerable individuals, CBP is surging all available resources to expeditiously and safely process migrants,” a written CBP statement read.
“As we respond with additional resources and apply consequences for unlawful entry, the migration trends shift as well.”
The closure of the port comes as hundreds of migrants are presenting themselves alongside the border wall in Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument west of Lukeville. Migrants have been relegated to wait for hours and, sometimes, two days for Border Patrol agents to pick them up and process them. --->READ MORE HERE
