Russians actively attack in Ukraine's east but have no success – General Staff report:

Russian troops tried to storm areas near Klishchiivka, to the east of Pivdenne, near Marinka and Novomykhailivka, at the same time continuing their attempts to surround Avdiivka in Donetsk Oblast, without success. In total, Ukrainian defenders repelled over 40 Russian attacks in the east of the country.

Quote: "A total of 48 combat clashes took place over the past 24 hours. The enemy launched 5 missile strikes and 61 airstrikes and conducted 60 attacks from multiple-launch rocket systems on the positions of our troops and populated areas."

Details: On the Bakhmut front, Ukrainian defenders repelled five Russian attacks near the settlements Klishchiivka and east of Pivdenne in Donetsk Oblast. Moreover, Ukraine’s Defence Forces are continuing their assault operations south of Bakhmut in Donetsk Oblast, inflicting losses in manpower and equipment on the Russians and consolidating their positions.

In the area of responsibility of the Tavriia Operational Strategic Group on the Avdiivka front, Russian forces continue their attempts to encircle Avdiivka. Ukrainian soldiers are firmly holding the defence, inflicting significant losses on the Russians. Russian offensive operations to the east Novobakhmutivka, Avdiivka, Sieverne, and Pervomaiske in Donetsk Oblast were unsuccessful. Ukraine’s Defence Forces repelled 13 attacks there.

On the Marinka front, Russian forces conducted unsuccessful assault operations near the settlements of Marinka and Novomykhailivka in Donetsk Oblast, where Ukrainian soldiers repelled 18 attacks. --->LOTS MORE HERE

War update: Russian attacks repelled in five sectors:

In the past 24 hours, a total of 58 military clashes have occurred between Ukraine’s Defense Forces and Russian invaders.

The relevant statement was made by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

According to the General Staff, Ukraine’s Defense Forces continue conducting the offensive operation in the Melitopol direction and offensive (assault) actions in the Bakhmut direction, inflicting personnel and military equipment losses on Russian invaders and exhausting the enemy all over the front line.

Ukrainian warriors are holding the recaptured positions on the left bank of the Dnipro River in the Kherson region and inflicting fire damage on the enemy.

Over the past day, Ukraine’s Air Force has launched 11 strikes on Russian personnel, ammunition and military equipment clusters.

Ukrainian missile units hit 11 enemy personnel, ammunition and military equipment clusters, one command post, one surface-to-air missile system, four artillery systems, and one ammunition depot.

Meanwhile, Russian troops launched two missile strikes and 29 air strikes, and opened fire with multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) 40 times on Ukrainian positions and settlements.

The operational situation is remaining challenging in eastern and southern Ukraine.

In the Volyn and Polissia directions, the operational situation remained rather unchanged. No signs of enemy offensive groupings were detected. Certain Belarusian units are completing tasks within the areas bordering with Ukraine. --->READ MORE HERE
