Somewhere, fired FBI Director James Comey, who wrote a book about leadership ethics titled A Higher Loyalty, is laughing.
Special counsel John Durham's report has concluded what most of us knew all along: There was no legal basis for the FBI’s 2016 investigation into the Trump campaign or the investigation by Robert Mueller that followed. It was all a lie. Teaming up with the Hillary Clinton campaign, Comey used the agency he led to rig a presidential election. His decision to weaponize a once highly revered institution against a political candidate (and then president) whom he despised has shattered the public’s trust in the FBI and inflicted irreparable damage on the United States.
And they were all in on it. Then-President Barack Obama and his national security team were briefed on the plan by CIA Director John Brennan in July 2016. Two months later, Brennan alerted Comey and then-Deputy Assistant Director of Counterintelligence Peter Strzok to the scheme via a CIA investigative referral. They knew there was no evidence of Russian collusion, as Durham’s report proves, yet they allowed the charade to go on for nearly three years until former President Donald Trump’s attorney general, William Barr, intervened in the spring of 2019 to bring the investigation to an end. Had Barr not interceded, there’s no telling how long the investigation would have continued.
The problem is that the Department of Justice and the FBI’s "fail[ure] to uphold their important mission of strict fidelity to the law" when it comes to Trump has never stopped. Their malfeasance before and after the 2016 election was just the start.
In 2020, for example, the FBI interfered in a presidential election once again. Last year, at least a dozen FBI whistleblowers reached out to Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA), the ranking member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, and now-House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan (R-OH) to inform them that, in the months leading up to the election, bureau insiders tried to scuttle the investigation into Hunter Biden’s foreign business adventures. --->READ MORE HERE

The FBI’s sins descended so low in the Trump-Russia saga that it has taken two voluminous investigations by the Justice Department’s inspector general and now special counsel John Durham to expose and condemn.
Inspector General Michael Horowitz’s 2019 bombshell was that the FBI broke over a dozen rules to obtain court-approved wiretaps on Carter Page, a volunteer on Donald Trump‘s 2016 presidential campaign. In the process, the bureau became a pimp for the Christopher Steele dossier.
The Hillary Clinton-financed dossier is America’s worst political hoax, yet the FBI stood behind its falsehoods in sworn affidavits to judges. Then-FBI Director James Comey took it to blindside Mr. Trump, who was then president-elect, at Trump Tower in an apparent attempt to elicit an instant Russian conspiracy confession.
Mr. Comey would later demand the intelligence community become as enamored of the dossier as he was. Mr. Comey demanded they put its anti-Trump claims in the Obama administration’s official Russia report. The intelligence community refused, calling Mr. Steele’s work an “internet rumor.”
Now Mr. Durham has written Volume 2, as it were, the first official dossier fact-check. His final report, which was released Monday, expresses shock and disbelief at how low the FBI traveled to align itself with partisans and try to unseat a U.S. president.
“Our investigation … revealed that senior FBI personnel displayed a serious lack of analytical rigor towards the information that they received, especially information received from politically affiliated persons and entities,” Mr. Durham wrote. “This information in part triggered and sustained Crossfire Hurricane.” --->READ MORE HEREFollow link below to a relevant story:
