Elon Musk slams Fauci for infamous 'I am science' statement that refuted all criticism of COVID policy - as Twitter vows to promote 'reasoned' questioning of data:
Twitter CEO Elon Musk has announced that his social platform will promote the 'reasoned' questioning of scientific data - while also making a dig at Dr Fauci.
On Wednesday, Musk, who can been especially vocal on the platform since assuming control in late October, wrote: 'New Twitter policy is to follow the science, which necessarily includes reasoned questioning of the science.'
Gad Saad, a heavily-followed Evolutionary Behavior Scientist, replied to Musk's tweet in jest by posting a video of Dr. Fauci and writing: 'The science is anything that His Eminence Lord Fauci says it is.'
'His Excellency is science,' continued Saad.
To which Musk responded, 'Anyone who says that questioning them is questioning science itself cannot be regarded as a scientist.'
Musk then drove his point one step further by posting a meme mocking those who 'believe anything blindly.'
On multiple occasions during the COVID-19 pandemic, Dr. Fauci has claimed that those who criticize him and his work are 'actually criticizing science.'
During a November 2021 interview Fauci, speaking about the so-called politicization of public health, said that those who criticize the COVID response he led are 'really criticizing science, because I represent science.' --->READ MORE HERE
Elon Musk claims ex-Twitter employees ran ‘Fauci Fan Club’ Slack channel:
New Twitter boss Elon Musk revealed that former employees of the social media company managed a fawning Slack channel titled “Fauci Fan Club” — a reference to Dr. Anthony Fauci, the nation’s top infectious disease expert.
Musk tweeted the claim in a thread that was highly critical of Fauci, who was accused by the mogul of lying about so-called “gain-of-function” research that some suggest may have played a role in the spread of the coronavirus.
“Despite these glaring issues, Twitter nonetheless had an internal Slack channel unironically called ‘Fauci Fan Club’,” Musk tweeted late Tuesday. He did not elaborate as to how many employees participated in the Slack channel.
Since taking over Twitter, Musk has been eager to show that the company’s prior management had a left-wing bias that promoted liberal narratives and banned conservative voices.
Musk on Tuesday responded to a tweet thread by venture capitalist Marc Andreessen, who posted a meme that accused Fauci of lying.
