Poll: Midterm Voters Support Nationwide Crackdown on U.S. Employers Hiring Illegal Aliens:
Midterm voters, by a wide majority, support a nationwide crackdown on United States employers hiring illegal aliens over American citizens, a recent poll shows.
The Rasmussen Reports/NumbersUSA poll surveyed midterm election voters, finding that 69 percent support the federal government requiring U.S. employers to screen potential hires through the electronic E-Verify system to ensure illegal aliens are not hired for jobs over American citizens and legal immigrants.
Across all racial demographics, a majority said they support nationwide mandatory E-Verify — including 73 percent of Hispanic Americans, 70 percent of black Americans, and 68 percent of white Americans.
Likewise, 69 percent of swing voters said they support Congress passing mandatory E-Verify along with 57 percent of Democrats and 83 percent of Republicans. The labor policy also gets massive support among non-college educated voters, 71 percent, who are the most likely to compete for jobs against illegal aliens.
Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA) and Rep. Mo Brooks (R-AL) introduced bills this year to mandate E-Verify across the U.S. but the legislation stalled in the House and Senate Judiciary Committees with a lack of support from Democrats and Republicans. --->READ MORE HERE
Two-thirds want border wall and E-Verify to slow illegal immigration:
Sizable majorities of 2022 midterm election voters are growing more concerned about illegal immigration across the U.S.-Mexico border and believe the fix should include walls, fences, and other barriers and an E-Verify system that would punish employers who hire illegal immigrants.
In a new Rasmussen Reports survey done with the hard-line immigration reform group NumbersUSA, 67% backed a wall and other barriers, including 49% of Democrats.
Even more, 69%, want to “mandate that all employers use the federal electronic E-Verify system to help ensure that they hire only legal workers for U.S. jobs,” read the analysis.
Overall, 60% said that the border crisis is a top issue, and most faulted President Joe Biden for the growing disaster.
“This polling is remarkable. It shows clearly that most American voters of every type, party, and ideology agree that immigration needs to be brought under much better control,” said NumbersUSA Vice President of Operations Jim Robb. --->READ MORE HERE
