Team Biden’s extending the COVID emergency again — to expand the welfare state:
It’s official. Despite President Biden’s recent admission that the pandemic is over, his team will extend the COVID-19 public health emergency through at least April 11, 2023. This has nothing to do with any emergency — it is to allow the administration to extend pandemic-era policies that expand the welfare state.
Biden — in one of his unguarded, truth-telling gaffes — was correct: The pandemic emergency phase is over. New COVID cases began to decline in late July and have been relatively stable over the past month; new COVID hospitalizations have been steadily falling since late July; the percentage of emergency room visitors diagnosed with COVID hasn’t been rising; COVID death rates have been dropping since August.
And vaccines and therapeutics are readily available, so available, in fact, that millions of doses are going unused.
Extending the emergency is aimed at keeping as many people as possible dependent on Medicaid — the federal-state health program that covers more than 1 in 4 Americans — even though large and growing numbers of beneficiaries are ineligible.
Enrollment has risen to unprecedented levels, due in large part to the March 2020 Families First Coronavirus Response Act’s continuous-coverage requirement, which prohibits state Medicaid agencies from disenrolling ineligible beneficiaries while the public health emergency lasts. --->READ MORE HERE

‘Did Joe Blow It?’: ‘The Five’ Attacks Biden For Seemingly ‘Leaving Out’ Fentanyl, COVID Origins In Meeting With Xi:
Panelists on “The Five” attacked President Joe Biden for seemingly “leaving out” fentanyl and COVID-19 origins in his meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping Monday during the G20 summit in Indonesia.
“Throughout the three-hour meeting, Biden conveniently leaving out two major issues: fentanyl flowing into the U.S. from China, and where the heck COVID came from. Instead, Biden putting climate change front and center,” co-host Greg Gutfeld said after mocking Biden for discussing climate change and food insecurity with Xi during the Monday meeting. Gutfeld then brought up a New York drug bust where 20,000 rainbow fentanyl pills were seized.
Biden discussed the human rights situation in Xinjiang province, climate change and the war in Ukraine with Xi, according to a White House readout. Based on the meeting minutes and Biden’s remarks afterwards, it is not clear if Biden pressed Xi about the COVID-19 lab leak theory or Chinese-based fentanyl.
China has become a lead exporter of fentanyl and its precursor chemicals, according to the Drug Enforcement Administration.
“Did Joe blow it?” Gutfeld asked the panel. --->READ/WATCH MORE HERE
