Jussie Smollett Guilty of Staging Race-Baiting Hate Attack to Boost Career; Biden, Harris Mocked for Old Tweets Calling Jussie Smollett ‘attack’ a ‘lynching’. Hollywood Celebrities Who Backed Jussie Smollett Silent After Guilty Verdict, and related stories

Jussie Smollett guilty of staging race-baiting hate attack to boost career:
Nearly three years after he claimed two Trump-loving bigots beat him up, tied a noose around his neck and doused him in bleach, Jussie Smollett was convicted Thursday of staging a hate crime in a misbegotten bid to raise his public profile.
Twelve jurors in Chicago criminal court found the disgraced actor guilty of five of six counts of felony disorderly conduct for filing a false police report following testimony from 13 witnesses and more than nine hours of deliberation.
As the jurors read out the verdict, Smollett, 39, stood huddled with his attorneys and kept his eyes trained on the panelists, remaining stoic as a phalanx of family members, who watched the eight-day trial from the front row of the gallery, sat frozen.
The actor, who took more than an hour to return to the courthouse to hear the jury’s verdict and now faces up to three years in jail, was later seen embracing his siblings, some of whom didn’t stand for the jury before the panelists left the courtroom. --->READ MORE HERE
Biden, Harris mocked for old tweets calling Jussie Smollett ‘attack’ a ‘lynching’:
President Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris are among Democrats who are being widely mocked for their silence in the wake of Jussie Smollett’s guilty verdict — after initially throwing their support behind the embattled actor.
Biden and Harris’ old tweets — including one in which the veep described the attack as a “modern day lynching” — resurfaced after the “Empire” star was convicted Thursday of staging an elaborate hate crime against himself and filing a false police report.
Immediately after Smollett claimed in 2019 that two Trump-loving bigots beat him up and tied a noose around his neck, Biden — who had yet to announce his bid for president — declared he was standing with the actor.
“What happened today to @JussieSmollett must never be tolerated in this country. We must stand up and demand that we no longer give this hate safe harbor; that homophobia and racism have no place on our streets or in our hearts. We are with you, Jussie,” Biden tweeted in January 2019.
Harris, meanwhile, branded the ordeal a “modern day lynching.” --->READ MORE HERE
