Joe Biden Settles into Hiding After Build Back Better Dies:
President Joe Biden settled back into hiding at the White House on Monday as he cleared his schedule of any public events.
Biden returned to the White House from another weekend at his home in Delaware, but he did not engage with reporters shouting questions about the death of his Build Back Better bill or Sen. Joe Manchin’s (D-WV) declaration that he would not vote for it.
The president is scheduled for lunch with Vice President Kamala Harris and meet with his coronavirus response team later in the afternoon as both events are closed to the press.
White House press secretary Jen Psaki will take the lead on messaging at the daily briefing, as Biden continues hiding from questions about the future of his legislation. --->READ MORE HERE

Manchin says White House tried to intimidate him into backing Biden’s $1.75T social welfare bill:
Sen. Joe Manchin III accused senior members of President Biden’s White House staff of trying to intimidate him into supporting the $1.75 trillion Build Back Better Act, as he unloaded on the administration and his fellow Democrats on Monday.
In a radio interview on West Virginia Metro News, Mr. Manchin told his home state audience that the White House badly miscalculated its negotiating position for the social welfare and climate change bill.
“They figured surely to God we can move one person. We surely can badger and beat one person up,” Mr. Manchin said. “Surely we can get enough protesters to make that person uncomfortable enough that they’ll just say, ‘OK, I’ll vote for anything.’”
“Well, guess what? I’m from West Virginia. I’m not from where they’re from and they can just beat the living crap out of people and think they’ll be submissive, period,” he added.
Mr. Manchin clarified that most of the intimidation tactics came from Mr. Biden’s staff, rather than the president himself. --->READ MORE HERE
