Biden Has Left Border Open While Generals Say ISIS-K Wants to Attack U.S. ; Top Generals: Terrorists Could Take Root in Afghanistan in Less Than a Year; ‘Real Possibility’ of Al-Qaeda, ISIS Resurgence in Afghanistan by Spring

GOP Sen. Cramer: Biden Has Left Border open While Generals Say ISIS-K Wants to Attack U.S.:
On Friday’s broadcast of the Fox Business Network’s “Kudlow,” Sen. Kevin Cramer (R-ND) noted Commander of United States Central Command Gen. Frank McKenzie testifying that ISIS-K aspires to attack the United States and said that in order to do so, they would have to come to the U.S., and “we have an immigration policy that expands every possible avenue for people legally and illegally to come into the country, not the least of which, of course, is at our open southern border.”
Cramer said, “I thought Gen. McKenzie made one very profound statement. … And that was, he said, basically, there is great certainty that ISIS-K intends to attack the United States on our homeland. Now, I don’t know about you, but that sends shudders. I mean, with certainty, they’re convinced that ISIS-K intends to attack our homeland. … September 11, those terrorists came here with visas, and now, 20 years later, we have an immigration policy that expands every possible avenue for people legally and illegally to come into the country, not the least of which, of course, is at our open southern border. So, they don’t have intercontinental ballistic missiles. They don’t have a navy. They don’t have an air force, what they have is a lax immigration policy in the United States of America. So, if they want to attack us, the only way for them to do it is to come here. And unfortunately, this president has made it really easy for people to come here.” --->WATCH COMPLETE INTERVIEW HERE

Top generals: Terrorists could take root in Afghanistan in less than a year:
The chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff told lawmakers Wednesday that terrorist organizations could regain footing in Afghanistan in as soon as six months leaving some lawmakers concerned that the war there is not over.
The remarks by Gen. Mark Milley came amid two consecutive days of contentious testimony before House and Senate panels escalated into heated flareups among lawmakers and calls for the Pentagon’s top brass to resign.
“I think right now, right this minute we are safer because of the efforts over the last 20 years,” Gen. Milley told the House Armed Services Committee on Wednesday. “However, I do think that conditions are more likely than not to develop over the course of time that will allow for the reconstitution of al Qaeda and/or ISIS.”
“And that time varies depending on which analyst you’re listening to, but some time between say six to 12 and maybe 36 months,” he said.
Gen. Milley’s testimony came in hearing along with Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin and Gen. Kenneth F. McKenzie, head of the U.S. Central Command.
Gen. McKenzie echoed the need for the U.S. to remain vigilant. --->READ MORE HERE

Milley Warns ‘Real Possibility’ of Al-Qaeda, ISIS Resurgence in Afghanistan by Spring
General Mark Milley, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, warned on Wednesday of a “real possibility” that al-Qaeda or ISIS could rebuild in Afghanistan as early as spring 2022 in the wake of the U.S. military withdrawal.
While testifying before the House Armed Services Committee, Milley said that the terrorist threat from Afghanistan is less than it was on 9/11 but that “the conditions could be set for a reconstitution of al-Qaeda and/or ISIS.
Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin agreed during his own testimony, saying “there is clearly a possibility” for the terrorist groups to regenerate now that U.S. forces have left the country, which was taken over by the Taliban.
“Al Qaeda has been degraded over time,” Austin said. “Now, terrorist organizations seek ungoverned spaces so that they can train and equip and thrive and, and so, there is clearly a possibility that that can happen here, going forward.” --->READ MORE HERE
