Biden Tries to Revive DACA Amnesty:
President Joe Biden’s Department of Homeland Security (DHS) will issue a draft regulation to revive all or part of former President Barack Obama’s ‘DACA’ work-permit program for roughly 800,000 illegal immigrants.
“DHS is complying with the July 16, 2021 order issued by the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas, which prohibits DHS from granting initial DACA requests,” an agency statement said Monday morning. “The Biden-Harris Administration has appealed the Texas court ruling.”
The Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) policy was created by Obama in the run-up to the 2012 election.
It protects younger illegal aliens who were brought to the United States as children by their parents. It gives the migrants exemptions from deportation, and provides them with Social Security cards and work permits to help them compete for Americans’ blue-collar jobs.
The program allows employers to hire more illegal migrants. --->READ MORE HERE
Biden Administration Launching Plan to Restore Obama's DACA After Federal Court Ruled It Unlawful:
Despite a federal judge’s ruling that the Deferred Action in Childhood Arrivals program was outside the law, the Biden administration is moving forward with its plan to make it permanent.
According to a report Monday in The Wall Street Journal, the Department of Homeland Security will publish a proposed regulation that will allow the illegal immigrants protected by DACA — known as “Dreamers” — to continue to be part of the program.
The proposal is scheduled to be published in the Federal Register on Tuesday.
DACA allows illegal immigrants who entered the country as children to remain, as long as they meet certain conditions. The program was started through an executive order of then-President Barack Obama.
In July, a federal judge in Texas ruled that the program could not accept new applications but could continue for those already enrolled until the case eventually makes its way through the court system, according to CNN. --->READ MORE HERE
