Biden reverses Trump orders that cracked down on vandalism of monuments:
President Biden on Friday issued an executive order that revokes a handful of orders from former President Trump, including several tied to the defacement and vandalism of public monuments amid last year’s racial justice protests.
Mr. Biden’s order negates an order from June 2020 that made it the policy of the United States to prosecute people to the “fullest extent” of the law if they damage or deface public property.
The order from Mr. Trump also said it was the policy of the U.S. to withhold federal support from state and local governments and law enforcement agencies if they fail to protect public monuments and spaces from vandalism.
The May 2020 death of George Floyd, a Black man, while in Minneapolis police custody had sparked a wave of racial justice protests - some of which escalated into violent looting, rioting, and tearing down or defacement of statues of American historical figures. --->READ MORE HERE

Biden scraps Trump Garden of Heroes honoring Kobe, Trebek, Bader Ginsburg:
President Joe Biden has revoked a trio of executive orders issued by former President Donald Trump that sought to punish vandalism of statues and to build a new National Garden of American Heroes.

A follow-up Trump order in January specified that the statue garden would honor, among other notables, Kobe Bryant, Julia Child, Ruth Bader Ginsburg and Alex Trebek.
Biden’s decision was announced in a Friday afternoon email nearly a year after nationwide anti-police brutality protests resulted in widespread damage to monuments, especially those honoring slaveholders. --->READ MORE HERE
