President Joe Biden often touts his Catholic faith as part of what drives him, but according to one high-profile archbishop, the Democrat is damaging the faith by publicly aligning himself with the church, and he should stop due to his radical views on abortion.
In September, for example, Biden cited scripture to attack then-President Donald Trump when addressing the faith-based group the Poor People’s Campaign, NPR reported.
“All of you remind me of how Scripture describes a calling born out of the wilderness,” Biden told those listening in virtually. “A calling to serve, not to be served. A calling toward justice, healing, hope — not hate. To speak the good news, and followed by some good deeds. It’s not just enough to speak the good news, but good deeds.”
Biden’s comments were interpreted as a shot at Trump, which he delivered while hiding behind the faith.
NPR’s Asma Khalid further noted in her reporting that Biden is considered “the most overtly devout Democratic presidential campaign since Jimmy Carter in 1976,” and added the Democrat “carries a rosary in his pocket and attends Mass every Sunday.” --->READ MORE HERE
Church leaders now must make a choice: Either condemn Joe Biden’s pro-abortion governance or become complicit in the president’s scandalous support of abortion.
The Catholic Church has a Joe Biden problem. With Thursday’s announcement the Biden administration has reversed the Mexico City Policy’s ban on U.S. taxpayers funding foreign abortion providers, such as Planned Parenthood International, church leaders now must make a choice: Either condemn Joe Biden’s pro-abortion governance or become complicit in the president’s scandalous support of abortion and lose the moral authority necessary to pastor the flock.
During the 2020 presidential campaign, Biden relied on his Catholic roots to woo a segment of middle-class voters who had abandoned the Democratic Party to vote for Donald Trump in 2016. Trump and his cohorts “look down their nose on people like Irish Catholics, like me, [who] grew up in Scranton,” Biden charged during his first presidential debate, in an attempt to reclaim the Catholic voting bloc that helped elect John F. Kennedy the first Catholic president more than a half-century ago.
While peddling his claimed Catholicism in battleground states, Biden was genuflecting at the altar of the extreme abortion left, promising to undo the many pro-life policies adopted by the Trump administration.
