DACA Doesn't Solve Anything, Especially for the GOP. Build the Wall First

Border security and elimination of incentives to enter and remain illegally in America, should come before anyone even considers an amnesty program.
DACA is the amnesty that nobody wants. DACA recipients don’t want it because it doesn’t do enough. Opponents believe it does too much and that other priorities, such as a border wall, must come first. We can pay for that border wall by taxing remittance payments.
Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, or DACA, allows minors who entered the country illegally to avoid deportation for a period of time. Because the deferment is for a finite period, ostensible supporters are not advocating for DACA. Because DACA deferment is limited to the individual and no one else in their extended family gets a free pass into the country, DACA recipients are unhappy.
The Gang of Six
The bait-and-switch is being run by Republicans and Democrats who are supporting DACA extension, or attempting to create some kind of negotiated appeasement on an amnesty bill. DACA reform supporters I’ve met with admit that they do not want DACA because it is too limited. They want the DREAM Act which provides a pathway to citizenship for them and for members of their family.

There is going to be a compromise in Congress on Dreamers. NO ONE is going to get exactly what they want! That's the way our system is supposed to work. The solution is simple and fair: Dreamers get protection from deportation (along with some family), and R's get better border security and enforcement. This is so logical that I have no idea why our inept congress cannot figure it out. (People like Trump, Cotton, Miller, and Meadows make appropriate solutions to immigration almost impossible.)

A large majority of Americans want Dreamers to stay. Their parents and family should stay too, OF COURSE. Anything less is HEARTLESS. Chain migration IS NOT bad for America, in fact, it has proven beneficial.

I'm not saying there should be no limits. But let's not pretend that these people here are not helping our economy (AND the birth rate!), and are by and large productive citizens who uphold American ideals sometimes better than our own citizens.

It's just the haters who, for some reason, lack all human empathy or even basic regard for those of another race. SAD!
