White House spokeswoman Sarah Sanders laid out Friday a series of actions the Trump administration would like to see coupled with an amnesty for Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) beneficiaries.
President Trump has called for Congress to “legalize” the DACA program, which protects roughly 800,000 illegal immigrants. Sanders said Friday that there is no settled deal. House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer claimed this week that Trump agreed to a deal protecting DACA beneficiaries without funding a southern border wall. AND WHAT THE HELL DOES, "President Trump has called for Congress to “legalize” the DACA program" mean anyway?
Does it mean he' wants to protect any new invaders who decide to bring the kids along because the old DACA was just and executive order with a deadline?
AMNESTY would be bad enough, THIS SMELLS like he wants Congress to create a DACA 2 BILL for the next 800,000 ILLEGALS that sure as hell will start coming if he grants AMNESTY and creates A LAW/BILL.
SOMEONE in the WH needs to clarify this ....QUICK!

Trump in a statement today said chain migration had to end. He seemed to be glomming it on to DACA. That would be consistent with his immigration proposal in August known as the RAISE Act. http://www.latimes.com/politics/washington/la-na-essential-washington-updates-trump-is-pushing-for-a-merit-based-1501681787-htmlstory.html
It should be noted that the 1965 immigration law's worst components were the result of conservatives' ideas about keeping families together. That helped lead to the chain migration. Let's support Trump's attempt to fix yet another blunder by previous governments.
