Ted Cruz to Conservatives: 'Ignore the political circus'

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) on Thursday said that conservatives should “ignore the political circus” and shift their focus to the Republican Party’s priorities amid fired FBI Director James Comey’s high-profile Senate testimony.

“This is a strange time in Washington,” Cruz said at the Faith and Freedom Coalition’s “Road to Majority” conference at the Omni Shoreham Hotel in Washington, D.C.

“There's a lot of noise, a lot of people lighting hair on fire on cable news television,” he continued. “Ignore the political circus and let’s focus on delivering results. We have an historic opportunity.”
