Israel's defense minister revealed this week that Israel has altered its intelligence-sharing protocols with the U.S. in response to President Trump sharing classified information with Russian diplomats a few weeks ago.
Defense Minister Avigdor Liberman told the IDF's Army Radio on Wednesday that Israel had performed a "spot repair" in how it shares intelligence with the U.S. after Trump disclosed Israeli-sourced information about ISIS without Israel's consent to the Russians. Though he made clear protocols had been adjusted, Liberman stressed that the two countries enjoyed "unprecedented intelligence cooperation."
"I can confirm that we did a spot repair and that there’s unprecedented intelligence cooperation with the United States," said Liberman. "What we had to clarify with our friends in the United States, we did. We did our checks."
Liberman would not provide any details about what had been altered, however, saying, "Not everything needs to be discussed in the media; some things need to be talked about in closed rooms."Read the rest of the story HERE.
