Sen. Ted Cruz and Rep. Mark Meadows: Three Criteria for Health Reform

Fresh off his comments about the GOP’s AHCA bill at the FreedomWorks rally and his Politico contribution on how to repeal Obamacare, Senator Ted Cruz has partnered with North Carolina representative Mark Meadows to pen Three Criteria for Health Reform for The Wall Street Journal. The work is built around a three-part framework.

“After years of talk, we know that the Republican repeal-and-replace effort will soon be judged by three criteria: Does it make health care more affordable? Does it give consumers more choices? Does it provide Americans more control over their families’ health care?”
From there three basic goals are outlined: lowering premiums, offering low-income tax credits, and freezing then phasing out the expansion of Medicaid.
