Monday, on MSNBC's Morning Joe, hosts Mika Brzezinski and Joe Scarborough played a clip from Saturday Night Live's most recent episode in which Steve Bannon, portrayed as a grim reaper, takes the big desk in the Oval Office, demoting Trump to a play desk.
BRZEZINSKI: "Ooh. Wow."
SCARBOROUGH: "So Mika, this is, again, when we say Donald Trump is the decider in chief, he's the decider in chief--but that is not the story. Look at this TIME Magazine cover [TIME cover featuring Bannon with the title: 'The Great Manipulator' is shown].
Again, it's astounding that this soon into a new administration--I don't know. I mean, maybe Bannon's calling all the shots. I still don't think he is, but I think Trump is the guy that calls the shots, but this is a theme that I guess needs to be investigated."
Shortly after Morning Joe, President Trump tweeted what appears to be a direct response:
I call my own shots, largely based on an accumulation of data, and everyone knows it. Some FAKE NEWS media, in order to marginalize, lies!

Hilarious.
First two weeks going swimmingly, lol.
Everything I ever wrote or thought about Trump has been proven true.
He is the idiot we were afraid he was, (and more).
We gave the keys to a drunk, and he's got a madman with his foot on the peddle with him.
I hope we all survive. Someone needs to call 911 fast.
